Beautiful home in a quiet location

  • 5 of 5

I spent one week at the end of August. Owner was accomodating and helpful. The house is well maintained and very nice. All wood ski-cabin feel with a nice loft offering additional bedding. Kitchen was well stocked with all I needed to prepare meals.

Wi-Fi was very good. Heating was fine and soapstone stove is available to provide extra heat if needed. I used it one chilly day and had to open windows later as it provides long lasting heat once its going. I didn't notice air conditioning, but didn't need it. You may want to inquire during warmer months.

The main road is closed to vehicles at its end but continues on for maybe another mile along a river and provided a nice unleashed walk for my dog when we didn't go to the nearby trails.

Overall, I would highly recommend this location.

Great area; Cute cabin.

  • 5 of 5

Our first time in the White Mountains in New Hampshire. What a great place. The cabin is close to hiking trails and everything else that the area has available. The view from the deck facing west (sunsets) is amazing.

The cabin is well equipped with just about everything you could need. The bed is really comfortable. The cabin seems secluded, but there are houses nearby but you wouldn't know. Shopping is a few miles away but not horribly inconvenient.

Cell service is kind of borderline; we had to go out on the deck to get service. No TV, but broadband was very good. We would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

Perfect quiet retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Marie was beyond hospitable when working with my husband and I. Two days before our planned trip our lodging accomdations changed (due to family/illness) and we were left looking for a place to stay. She was quick to respond, was compassionate when we didn't know what to do and went above and beyond last minute for us. • The log house was perfect for us! It is just far enough out to be quiet and remote, yet close to town and the places we needed to be! We loved sitting on the deck every night watching the sun go down. • We were used to not having any service in this area and were thrilled to have wifi! Both of us own our own businesses, we were not able to accept many calls but were able to keep touch thru the wifi. This was a life saver! You are also able to connect to your Netflix account or Amazon Prime, which we did take advantage of! • Everything is clearly marked with instructions. From lights, to how to work the shower. Marie even reached out to see how our stay was going. • We will forever be grateful and are thrilled to return to this area knowing we had perfect accommodations. We 5 star recommend this rental! It comes fully equipped with everything necessary for your stay. We grocery shopped in town and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end with this rental. Thank you again! We cannot speak highly enough of this space. We will see you next year! •

All the comfort of home

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay, the cabin was everything Marie had described in her posting PLUS. We had all the comforts of home, the atmosphere and views were perfect. The property is close to town and activities. We will be definitely staying again in the future. I especially loved that Marie checks in upon your arrival to make sure all is good and to inquire if anything is needed. Thanks Marie :)
