Great location, great space, not set up to easily deal with days at the beach

Here are the pros:

-close to all the bars and restaurants on Front street

-close to grocery stores

-bedrooms separated by living space

-wonderful bathrooms

-comfortable beds

-beach chairs and umbrellas provided

-two pools and a hot tub

-the grounds are gorgeous!

Here are the cons:

-There is a constant smell of mildew permeating the apartment mostly concentrated in the bedrooms

-The air conditioning units are set on timers so you have to wake up ever four hours during the night to turn them back on

-There is no place to hang your wet sandy towels. It would be nice to have a drying rack right outside of the unit

-The toilets are next to the floor to ceiling windows (there are blinds) so you hear everyone passing by and they can hear you and when you walk down the walkways on the property you walk by others using the toilets too. I listened to a guy on the phone this morning make his plans for the day. Have fun on that sight seeing tour dude! Don't mind me sitting here.

-there is enough laundry detergent to do one load so make sure to bring some if you want to wash more clothes than that

-There is more parking on the property than you can imagine but they charge $20 a day. We opted to park on the street and found parking everyday. It's just a slap in the face to see all that parking (literally hundreds of empty spots) while we fight it out for the limited free parking in front of the property

-The walls connecting all the units are paper thin

-There are no brooms to sweep up the sand that you do inevitably track into the unit

Overall it is a great place especially if you are traveling with multiple families

Owner's Response: Aloha Amy, We apologize your stay wasn't up to a five-star standard. We're glad you were able to enjoy the beach and the location of Aina Nalu. In regard to your feedback, we offer guests three options for parking: a discounted rate of $17.50 per day, street parking, and a negotiated rate with Republic parking for $10 per hour. For a future stay, there are both a drying rack and a broom located on or near the washer/dryer. We recognize these are just a few of your concerns, please know we are addressing the other issues and passing them along to the appropriate department. Amazing place to stay would definitely stay here again

Beautiful place. Awesome setup very close to two on property pools and BBQ areas and ice machine. We lucked out on parking out front for free a few days. Comfortable beds and luxury waterfall shower heads. Awesome extras we used all the beach stuff very happy they were available for us. Perfect walking distance to Front Street and central location to great beaches in Kaanapali and Kiehi. We loved our first visit to Maui and are planning on returning asap. Thanks for making out trip extra special.

Perfect location!

This rental was perfect. Very well appointed. Our group of 5 stayed very comfortably. Location is very well situated to many activities. Walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The property was fantastic with 2 pools and a hot tub.

Street parking is available for free and on-site parking is $20/day or $125/month. This charge is collected at the front desk. If you decide to pay for parking on property, Outrigger Aina Nalu requires payment for your full stay or the remainder of your stay (if you purchase a pass mid-way through your vacation). Coconut Condos has negotiated rates at a parking lot across the street for $10/day. Please note, for stays 14 days or longer, we do require a mid-stay clean for an additional fee of $115+tax.
We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance. No refunds will be given for storms and hurricanes. In the case of “Hurricane Warning” for Maui, a one-time date change, without penalty, will be available within 48 hours of arrival. Date changes must be made within 1 calendar year of original dates of stay.
