3 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom on the Sand
Two level, Nantucket style chic and modern home, fully remodeled in 2011. All new wood floors and kitchen cabinets and marble counters installed in March 2015. Located directly on the sand on what is essentially a private beach (there is no public access). Upper deck has a built in bench, lounge chairs, and a stainless steel gas BBQ. Lower deck has 15 foot long built in bench with cushions, a large dining table which seats 10, hot tub, outdoor refrigerator, heated shower and floating daybed. Relax and watch the sunset on the two lifeguard chairs situated on the lower deck.
This house offers two bedrooms with queen beds and large flat screen TVs and a third bedroom with full-sized bunk beds, each with their own TV. Also included are state of the art kitchen appliances, FIOS with hundreds of channels, large walk-in master closet, WiFi, washer and dryer, security system, and Sonos 4-zone stereo system which allows you to play different music in each zone and at different volume level (including upper and lower decks).

About Tara A.
I grew up in Orange County and attended college at UC Irvine. I got my law degree at USC and practiced for several years before having children. I recently got my real estate license and currently live in Brentwood with my husband and 2 kids. I manage a number of short term rental properties, including two of my own beach properties.

Why Tara A. chose Eastern Malibu
After 5 years of renting beach houses along the Malibu coastline during the summertime, my husband and I decided to buy our own piece of paradise in Malibu to use as a second home. We learned a great deal about what we wanted and put it all into this house. We call it 'The Bu' and it will not disappoint!
What makes this House unique
There is no public access to our beach, so unlike other beaches in Malibu (such as Carbon and La Costa) you won't get swarms of people on the weekends parking out in front of the house. For all intents and purposes, it's a private beach. This is also great if you have a dog because they can run around on the beach without fear of them getting onto to PCH (locals refer to beach as 'Dog's Beach').

Peace & Joy
What a great little spot on the beach to stay while our daughter celebrated her graduation from Pepperdine. The warm sunshine, walkable beach, and dolphins entertaining us were just what was needed. The house is cozy but perfect for relaxing and enjoying family on the coast. We hope to return!

Perfect Beach Getaway
Just wanted to thank Tara for a great stay in Malibu. We spent 3 relaxing days on the ocean. The home was just perfect, warm, unbelievable views. All the amenities you would need. Pictures really don't do this home justice. Can't wait for summer to come around to book our next stay. Tara was very communicative and took care of all your questions. Thank you.
Super cute, super clean house...
This was our second visit to this wonderful house...It is super cute and perfect location right on a private beach...major surf sounds ensure you won't be disturbed by any neighbors (we never were!)...love all the technology in the house as we are "media babies", too...maybe a bit high priced for the size but cannot beat the location...

The Perfect Beach House over the water!!
This beach home is beautiful and in a great location! The interior is beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. The owner was always very responsive to any questions or concerns I had and she thought of everything one might need on a vacation from towels and shampoo to everything you would need to cook a meal (including oils and spices). The 2 decks were our favorite part of the home—we barbequed and ate on the table next to the swinging outdoor bed and Jacuzzi. We watched amazing sunsets, seals sunbathing on a rock not too far from the home, and the waves crashing against the home during high tide. At low tide, we walked our dog on the beach, collected beautiful rocks, and enjoyed a beautiful view. If you love the sight and sound of waves and want to feel like you are in the ocean when you look down from the deck—this is the place! I highly recommend this home and I cannot wait to stay again—the pictures do not do it justice! It is the perfect beach house and Tara was an amazing host!
Our house is located on the sand in Malibu, in between Moonshadows and Duke's Restaurants. Because there is no public access to our stretch of beach (known by the locals as 'Dog's Beach'), we essentially live on a private beach. You won't get swarms of people, especially in the summers and on the weekends, camping out in front of your house like you get on Carbon and La Costa beach (north of us in Malibu).
You can surf, boogie board, and paddle board right on our beach. Our house is located on a wet/dry beach. That means that during high tide, the water will come up to the house and during low tide, you can go for walks along the beach, explore the tide pools, etc. It's a good idea to check the tide chart at http://www.surf-forecast.com/breaks/Malibu_1/tides/latest when planning your trip and days while staying here. Also, during times of high surf, it can wash away sand, leaving the beach rocky.
Malibu is one of the hottest areas to visit in all of California. Not only does it kiss the Pacific Ocean but it also is minutes from all the downtown attractions. Plus, it is only a few miles from Santa Monica, so the possibilities for activity, adventure, shopping, touring, and relaxation are endless.
Our house is located 2 1/2 miles south of the Malibu Pier/Malibu Country Mart and 8 miles north of the Santa Monica Pier. About an hour's drive to Disneyland; 2 hours to San Diego (Legoland/San Diego Zoo). Close to a number of wonderful hiking and biking trails, parks, horseback riding tours, camping sites, and wine tastings.

Additional information about rental rates
We must receive valid identification (e.g. valid drivers license or passport) of all guests prior to arrival. Any renters using credit cards to pay for bookings will be charged any and all associated fees for such payments. The names on the credit card must match the name on the contract and the name on the identification. PLEASE NOTE: there will be a 3% CREDIT CARD TRANSACTION FEE in the event a credit card is used for the booking. These fees will be deducted from the guests security deposit at the end of their stay. If you are paying via an international bank, there are also international bank fees that will be deducted from the security deposit. There are no fees for payments via wire transfer, Echeck or personal check and you can chose this method of payment when you book the reservation! House instructions/rules will be sent to guests a few days before check in. No keys are used as we have keyless entry locks. Dogs are welcome but there is a $100 pet fee. Dogs are not allowed on furniture - any evidence of dogs (hair, paw marks), there will be an additional cleaning fee TBD based on extent of damage. All major holiday weekends between $1,200-$1750 per night (Presidents, MLK, July 4th, Labor, etc). We do not rent out for events and major parties.
