#1 Blacksmith Lodge is a very comfortable and luxurious (2200 square foot) end unit with stunning views over the Monashee Mountains. It has won awards for Best Development, Best Layout and Best Interior Finishing.

It has features such as hot water radiant heated floors, large private outdoor hot-tub with massaging jets (very nice after a long day skiing), a fully-equipped luxury kitchen and a great room with gas fire.

All beds have comfortable fluffy duvets. There are two Master bedrooms with King-size beds and en-suite bathrooms (one has a jetted tub plus shower, the other a rainshower/steam cabinet). The third bedroom has a comfortable pull-out queen sofabed and the fourth bedroom has a single/twin bunkbed. These bedrooms share a bathroom with bath/shower.

The lodge has easy access to three main lifts (ski run goes right past back door!) and located only a few minutes from both the Village centre and Happy Valley.

To keep up with your e-mails, we have provided free high-speed wireless internet access for our guests. Access to the lodge is via a Keypad code, which will be sent to you shortly prior to your arrival.

Big White ski resort is Canada’s largest ski-in/ski-out resort with an average snowfall of 25 feet of 'champagne powder' snow. It has 118 designated trails, 27 unnamed trails, and lots of off piste skiing in the powder bowls and tree glades; 18% of the runs are beginner, 56% intermediate, and 26% expert.

We've been skiing and snowboarding for many years and we still love the place. Not only for the great snow and challenging terrain, but also because of the friendly atmosphere and last but not least: no long lift queues!

We've put a lot of thought in making the lodge as comfortable as possible, to ensure our guests will have a wonderful, fun and worry free holiday!

About The Owner

We first visited Big White in 2000 and immediately fell in love with it. We've skied and boarded many resorts in France, Austria, Italy, USA and Canada. Big White certainly isn't the biggest resort, but it's definitely the most fun.

Since having kids, it's even more fun coming here and there's no doubt about its claim to be in the top 5 kids' centers in the world.

We live in Europe, our kids both love travelling and they're going to be better skiers and snowboarders than us!

We had a fantastic time and enjoyed staying in your home very much. We had a large group and it accommodated everyone quite nicely. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and hanging out in the living room. The beds were nice and comfy and the grandkids didn't want to leave (neither did we).

Wonderful accommodation & views!

Townhouse shared by two families. Selling feature was both couples each had own ensuite upstairs. Not really a four bedroom but actually a rec-room with closing door at ground level which has 3rd bedroom access. Still great for all the kids. Very pleased with layout and would definitely rent again!

This was our second time staying at this property. When we arrived this time, the condo was not cleaned thoroughly. There was an empty beer bottle on the front deck (found by our children), the kitchen counter had grime all over it, the bathroom sink upstairs didn’t drain, etc....I could go on. I was disappointed this time around.

Great Place

The house is fantastic and has tons of room to spread out, relax, ad enjoy. The ski in/out feature is great as well. The only downside is getting to the village if you are not skiing isn't easy. There are no walkways to get you there and there is absolutely no public parking in the village. This is a Big White issue and not a house issue as many of the properties are in the same situation. You can jump in your car and drive down to Happy Valley and take the Gondola up, but it would be nicer if you could just walk up to the village or down to Happy Valley. The home however is terrific!
