Discover historic downtown Bozeman Montana from one of the original homes in Bozeman's favorite neighborhood, the Bon Ton Historic District. Built in 1880, the Bon Ton House offers guests a taste of old Bozeman and sits just steps away from the restaurants, boutiques, and community events of downtown.

Brought back to life by intensive renovations in 2014, this charming property offers fresh and clean accommodations while still retaining its historical charm. Hot water radiators, glass doorknobs and original hardwood floors provide early 20th century ambiance.

Located just two blocks South of Main Street in Bozeman’s lively downtown, Bon Ton House guests enjoy the convenience of an easy walk to many local restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques, and entertainment facilities.

With a large, newly landscaped backyard, guests can relax under the shade of a large Maple tree, have a meal at the picnic table, or enjoy a small fire at the fire ring.

Wifi is always provided and an off-street parking pad is accessible from the alley. Guests may use the new laundry room at the back of the house where detergent is provided.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING OUR NOISE POLICY:

This is unit is located within a shared house, and rambunctious behavior including running, stomping, hollering, and wailing has the potential to disturb other guests staying on the property. Guests who choose to stay in this unit are expected to be respectful of other renters and refrain from these types of activities while on the property. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. While small gatherings are permitted before quiet hours (9pm), large parties and gatherings are NEVER permitted on the property. If there is any chance your group might not be able/willing to refrain from running, being boisterous, or hosting parties, we recommend finding a vacation rental facility better suited to your needs.

The Bon Ton House, built in 1880, is one of the original homes in Bozeman’s Bon Ton Historic District south of Main Street Downtown.

When we bought the house, it had been run into the ground as a neglected long-term rental. Even in its dilapidated state, the property still had a wonderful feel and we knew that if we didn't bring it back from the brink it might be lost forever. Working intensely for over a year, we renovated and refreshed every square inch of the house and yard.

It was important to us that we retain the charming 19th century feel of the home so we saved the original windows, trim, interior doors, glass doorknobs, hot water radiatiors, and hardwood flooring. With new fixtures and furnishings, the Bon Ton House is the perfect combination of historical charm and modern comfort.

Possibly the oldest and largest Norway Maple tree in Gallatin Valley stands as the cornerstone of the backyard. Under the shade of this amazing tree, we installed flagstone walkways through a beautiful green lawn and natural stone patios featuring a large picnic table and fire ring with firewood provided free for guests.

After restoring both the house and yard, we furnished each of the three apartments with hand-picked decor and stocked each unit with all the luxuries you would expect from a high-end vacation rental. We make it our goal to ensure a pleasant stay for all guests at this beautiful and charming piece of Montana history.

What makes this apartment unique

When it comes to location, it doesn't get any better than this. Being just two blocks from Main Street means that guests can stroll down the street and be right in the heart of Bozeman's amazing downtown. The Downtown Bozeman Association is active in ensuring that this part of the city remains the heartbeat of Bozeman. Their motto "Life is Downtown" couldn't be more spot on.

The Bon Ton House is situated in the heart of historic downtown Bozeman. This charming town center is as vibrant as they come, with unique boutiques, gear shops, gourmet farm-to-table restaurants, local breweries, and trendy coffee houses. The house is located a convenient 6 blocks N and 9 blocks E of Montana State University. A stroll to campus takes you on a 20 minute walk through Bozeman's oldest and grandest neighborhoods. If you'd rather ride Bozeman's Streamline Bus Service to campus, grab one of the yellow buses at the stop located in front of the house. A 15 minute drive in any direction offers terrain for all kinds of outdoor activities, including both downhill and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, hiking, climbing, fishing, and white water rafting.

This property is a favorite for fishermen, skiers, families in town for weddings, and families of Montana State University students in need of a home base while spending time in Bozeman. "It just feels like home". Many groups who stay here tell us that they have spent an entire day on foot taking in the historic neighborhood and admiring the beautiful old homes. Every amenity you could think of is located within several blocks of the house. These include: US post office, US bank, ACE hardware store, copy/print shop, pubic library, history museum, children's museum, many local restaurants, coffee shops, tasting rooms, gear shops, ski shops, ski rentals, bicycle rentals, walking trails, and Bozeman's Bogert farmer's market.

Great property great location.

We stayed for a week with our family in Bon Ton house unit A. The house is very well located and is walking distance to many great restaurants and shops on Main Street. We also enjoyed the large backyard. We cooked 2 meals outside on the top-notch Weber gas grill and made Smores over the fire pit.
