Lovely Retreat

  • 5 of 5

This charming cottage is my home away from home. I love being so close to the river and enjoying the hot tub with its river view. I can walk to downtown with all its restaurants and Oxbow. Both the property manager and owner have been responsive and charming.

Lovely stay!!

  • 4 of 5

Two friends and I just got back from a girls trip to Napa. This house was perfect for us: So close to town that we walked to everything. Relaxing on the deck was the perfect end to each day. Being on the river made it feel even more relaxing!

King sized bed made it easy to share, and the sofa bed was great for the 3rd person.

We loved it!

If you want an answer you'll have to wait!

The house and location were great! Never been to Napa before and downtown Napa was adorable and really great town to walk around in. Just never realized that this house is about a 40 minute drive OUTSIDE of Napa Valley where all the great vineyards are. No AC but it really didn't bother us because when the windows are open at night the breeze is great! The outlets in the house are really old though so some did not work so there were major decisions to keep a fan plugged in or charge your iPhone over night.

Got to the house and it was really clean, just wish there was a binder with various recommendations on restaurants, cab services and local stores. Also the assistant you go through for the majority of the booking is very short with his responses to you, makes you feel a little dumb when you are traveling to a brand new location. I totally forgot to ask about WIFI for the house, and we saw a router so just needed the code - when I emailed James the assistant I just got a response "look at the router near the TV" We tried every number we possibly saw and nothing worked, when I emailed back again saying that I saw the router just need the password.. I got no response.. Still have been back for a week and NO response on the WIFI password.

Again this house is clean and its in a great location to downtown Napa (just far from the vineyards) but waiting for ANY response back from the assistant is nearly impossible so have your questions ready weeks in advance and hopefully he'll get to you with a nice answer. And a binder with local activities and phone numbers and directions is something this house needs !!

Great location to downtown Napa

NO AIR CONDITIONING!! Great location!! This property would be a perfect place except for the fact that it has no Air Conditioning. Would not recommend for summer or warm weekends. When we arrived at the house early afternoon the temperature in the house was 77 the thermostat was set at 67. Emailed the owner and his assistant right away and asked about the air. The assistant responded quickly and told us "it was behind the door is it not working" Emailed him back when we got back to the house after dinner, which by then the temperature in the house was 88, Informed him it was not working. Never did hear back from him and never heard from the owner at all. Checked entire property and found there was NO air conditioning unit. Only 2 windows with screens It made for 2 uncomfortable nights after such wonderful days visiting Napa. This property would be a great stay in Napa in January. The house is private with a nice view of the Napa River.

Perfect spot for a quick Napa weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We flew in to San Fran on a Saturday evening, drove to Napa, explored on Sunday and then back to the city Monday so it was a quick turnaround. This sweet little charmer of a home had everything we needed for my husband and I, and my father who traveled with us. He found the couch sufficiently comfortable and we found the bedroom equally so. We did one load of laundry, used the stove and microwave, found the shower had good water pressure and noted the big, modern televisions. Everything was as described and the kitchen was very well appointed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The only letdown was the hot-tub. It was a small soft sided model with a flat bottom (no seats), less powerful jets and extremely strong chlorine. We felt like we were choking on it but the wine helped. :)

Wineries we enjoyed: Stag's Leap Wine Cellars and Black Stallion. Restaurants we enjoyed: Filippi's for Pizza in Napa and R+D Kitchen for Sunday brunch in Yountville.

Great girls week getaway

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here recently for a girls week getaway. The property was perfect, and the owner was very helpful and easy to work with. The property is good sized even for 4 people. We were walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and even the wine train. The back deck with the hot tub was very private and the perfect place to spend the evenings after busy days wine tasting and exploring the area. The view of the river is beautiful especially as the sun is setting. We were able to explore Napa, Oakville, Yountville, Calistoga, and Santa Rosa all within about an hour or less drive. We had a great trip and would definitely recommend this cottage!
