After renting every year for 20 years, we finally found the perfect Smokies getaway!

We rented “A Couples Retreat” because of the attractiveness of the ad and because we are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright inspired architecture. What we found in person completely blew us away! To arrive and be greeted with beautiful classical music sounding like it was coming out of the trees was a very nice touch! What a wonderful vacation we had. Dottie is the best! What a pleasure to deal with and chat with! The villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated, peaceful and quiet. It is secluded and private while only a short drive to Gatlinburg, GSMNP, and all local sites of interest and need. The cabinets and refrigerator were well stocked so we didn’t have to spend a fortune on spices, condiments, and essentials. After staying there for four nights, we felt like we were at home, so comfortable, even for a flatlander like me! :) The glass walls and windows let all of that East Tennessee beauty in like you were right in the middle of it all. The outside landscaping and flora were perfect, the firepit was surely nice on the chilly afternoons and we took advantage of it! I’ve already passed on the booking information to many of my friends. Now we are so spoiled for staying anywhere else when we make our trips to Gatlinburg. I look forward to contacting Dottie to book again! Thank you from Jack and Dawn Speed!

Wow!! What a pleasure to stay here at Dottie's little piece of heaven. She has really paid attention to detail. The cottage is very well stocked and very comfortable. My only complaint is I didn't want to leave!! I loved being off the beaten path and the openness of the cottage with all the windows. Helps you get more in tune with nature. Loved the seclusion yet it is close enough that you don't have to travel far to partake of all the festivities in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. I will definitely return!! Wish it could be sooner rather than later!! Thanks Miss Dottie!!😘

Perfect getaway retreat

  • 5 of 5

Dottie's home was the perfect place for us to stay while visiting Great Smoky Mountains NP. We loved the seclusion and privacy of the home and spent many hours sitting on the porch by the fire pit and listening to it rain. It's close enough to Gatlinburg if you really want or need to go into town, but honestly we couldn't find any reason to leave the home when we weren't exploring the national park. The setting is so beautiful - you are surrounded by countless trees and plants, and the ambient outdoor lighting with the soft music Dottie left playing for us was a great way to unwind each day. We cooked several meals at the home and slept very well each night in the super comfortable bed. We would absolutely stay here again if we find ourselves in the area - thank you Dottie for helping make our trip so special!

We had a great time. Enjoy the seclusion, garden, the look of the house outside and in it was like a story book cottage .When we drove up to the house soft music was playing the outside lights were on , inside lights were on too, that gave us a warm feeling.Outside is the rock patio with a fountain it was nice to hear water running. Thank You for a wonderful place

P.S. Watch for the little blue tail lizards on the patio

Amazing place.

  • 5 of 5

This is a very enchanting place. the décor is most eye pleasing. The whole nuance is peaceful restful and enchanting to say the least. We arrived in the evening after dark to a lovely lamp lit, beautiful music piped out doors and little lights to line the steps. I felt like I had come to the enchanted forest. . WE were about a mile from Gatlinburg but right on the 8 mile circle of the Gatlinburg craftsmen and their shops. I would recommend with 5 stars plus one if you are looking for a peaceful place to rest and rejuvenate. This is the place. Dottie was a very accommodating host . The photos on the site are very accurate plus even more lovely in person. wall to wall windows ....I loved that. !!!! Please go and enjoy this treasure. one of a kind ...
