Small, Clean and Cozy

  • 5 of 5

Really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very helpful, generous with their time and flexible as well. The apt was well furnished and stocked with some wonderful breakfast foods, easy to find and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Cozy hideaway

  • 4 of 5

Our host Janelle provided breakfast supplies for our first morning and made fresh muffins for the second morning. Hot plates are provided for cooking, kitchen is small but adequate. Bathroom is small and if you are tall, watch your head in shower as the back wall angles in. The 2nd bedroom with double bed is small for a couple to sleep on but there is also a sofa bed in living area. A "pocket" beach cove is short walk from house where you can swim on a warm summer day in the clear water, rocky beach with large rock formations to walk or sit on. Along Lands End Drive are beautiful properties with large homes tucked into the trees and overlooking the water. Absolutely gorgeous. Heavily wooded trails through the Woodcreek area are well marked and connect to the various country lanes. Further to west are longer beaches but none worked for a long beach stroll. A few wineries are in the area.

Great Quiet Hideaway!

  • 5 of 5

We were very thankful to find an affordable place for our family of 5 to stay. It was quiet and a perfect place for us to go after a day of site seeing. We appreciated the kindness of A&J and also the flexibility to make our own breakfast at the timing that worked for us in the well stocked kitchen.

The Perfect B & B

  • 5 of 5

What a terrific quiet location! Separate entry and deck meant you always felt like you were alone in just your unit. I loved the idea of breakfast items already being available in the condo, no shopping to do for the next morning after we arrived. The muffins were delicious! Great setup for eating inside or outside on the deck. The kitchen was outfitted well with hot plates, toaster oven, dishes, and appropriate pots and pans. We were able to be at the condo when we wanted and out and about throught out the day. Fabulously close to all the things we wanted to see around Victoria without having to stay in the bustling city. Took the Black Ball ferry from Port Angeles, but next time we will take the ferry from Anacortes as it is closer to the condo.

Thanks to our gracious hosts who were there to meet our needs, but were inobtrusive. The first time my sister-in-law had ever been in a VRBO and she loved it! This location was perfect and made planning the trip easy!

Woodcreek B&B

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Woodcreek B & B. Andrew was there to meet us when we arrived, and gave us a great recommendation for dinner at a local fish and chips place. Jannelle was so kind to bake some amazing blueberry scones and I loved checking out the waterfront which is just down the street. It was nice to have breakfast items provided and we enjoyed making breakfast in the morning before we caught the ferry.

Address: 952 Woodcreek Place, North Saanich, BC V8L 5K4 Canada.

Woodcreek is found at the tip of the Saanich Peninsula on beautiful Vancouver Island. This is a great starting point for exploring all the peninsula has to offer. Beach combing and trails for hiking are within walking distance or a short drive away. It is just a 10 minute drive to Sidney by the Sea, 30 minutes to Victoria, BC's provincial capital, and 15 minutes to world famous Butchart Gardens.

Like the outdoors? Charter a sailboat to explore the coast or hire a fishing guide if you want to try halibut and salmon fishing. There are air tours from the airport. Or enjoy the ocean on a whale watching tour. This area offers excellent cold water scuba diving. In the summer you can pack a picnic and take the passenger ferry from the Sidney Government Wharf to Sidney Spit Marine Park. It’s great fun for the kids.

From here you can access the BC Gulf Islands, the US San Juan Islands and US Olympic Peninsula in the Strait of Juan de Fuca by air or ferry. From Victoria there is daily ferry service to Port Angeles Washington and foot passenger ferry service to Seattle.
