About the property

A two bedroom, one bathroom private suite, close to the beach.

Woodcreek B&B is a self-contained suite with a kitchen stocked with breakfast essentials for you to have at your convenience. We are now in our eighth year of operation.

The suite has two bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and one with a double bed. The kitchen includes a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, coffee maker, dishes and utensils for light cooking. The living area with TV has a comfy pull out couch for extra guests. All windows look into green tree tops. The ocean is a stone’s throw away, a two minute walk across the road. The private entrance is accessed up the outside stairs to a large deck where you can enjoy the outdoors.

This is a desirable location that is a great home base for island exploration. It is a hub to many modes of transportation, land and sea. Popular with hikers, cyclists, Eco-tourists. We love the natural beauty.

What makes this apartment unique

Our home is tucked into the trees. Rural but conveniently close to all the amenities of town. Wake up to the birds in the morning and go to sleep with the owls at night. The ocean is a short walk across the road where visitors can see a multitude of birds, otters and sometimes orca whales.

very pleasant, cozy, with wonderful host, nice little kitchen

Kept in touch with Janelle, so she knew we were arriving late +30' extra delay = 11PM, if I recall. Easy 10-15' drive from the Victoria ( Sidney ) airport, off Lands End. Woodsy area, very quiet, trivial road noise.

Janelle was kind enough to greet us nonetheless and orient us, incl to nicely stocked frig, and tips for sightseeing in the area. She also advised Thrifty Grocery had tickets 30% off for ferry to Mill Bay, which worked perfectly. The actual ferry experience was a bit if a disaster, that was not her fault, rather a product of BC Ferries logistics. Delightful small patio, very quiet location overlooking lovely garden. Very comfy bed in both bedrooms. Minute but functional shower, no complaints. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommended.

Janelle was great, the property was calm, quiet and beautiful, the beach was a tiny walk away that led through the forest and opened into an amazing little bay... we really enjoyed ourselves. We loved the Butterfly farm nearby and the Museum in Victoria was outstanding!

Spacious, quiet perfect spot near Sidney!

The large 2 bedroom room above the garage was a perfect spot for us. Host Jannelle left lots of breakfast goodies. Very close to beautiful Sidney and a short drive to Victoria. Comfy beds, very clean, well equipped, quiet location and very accommodating host. Thanks very much Jannelle! We'll tell our friends and we hope to be back again!

Quiet and comfortable

Quaint, homey, clean

We loved staying at this home. It was the perfect location on the island, just minutes from the ferry. They were very welcoming and friendly, the home was spotless, we were provided with amazing breakfast foods, and it was a great place to call home for a couple days. Just a couple minutes walk to the ocean with a great view, and the kids loved exploring the beach there. Overall a fantastic stay.

Woodcreek is found at the tip of the Saanich Peninsula on beautiful Vancouver Island. This is a great starting point for exploring all the peninsula has to offer. Beach combing and trails for hiking are within walking distance or a short drive away. It is just a 10 minute drive to Sidney by the Sea, 30 minutes to Victoria, BC's provincial capital, and 15 minutes to world famous Butchart Gardens.

Like the outdoors? Charter a sailboat to explore the coast or hire a fishing guide if you want to try halibut and salmon fishing. There are air tours from the airport. Or enjoy the ocean on a whale watching tour. This area offers excellent cold water scuba diving. In the summer you can pack a picnic and take the passenger ferry from the Sidney Government Wharf to Sidney Spit Marine Park. It’s great fun for the kids.

From here you can access the BC Gulf Islands, the US San Juan Islands and US Olympic Peninsula in the Strait of Juan de Fuca by air or ferry. From Victoria there is daily ferry service to Port Angeles Washington and foot passenger ferry service to Seattle.
