Overview

About the property

Large 2 bedrom, 1 bath lakefront

*New Queen Mattress Spring 2016*

The cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a full kitchen, a dining room, a large living room, and a deck. One bedroom has a queen bed and a set of twin bunk beds, and the other bedroom has 3 beds (a futon and twin bunkbeds).

The cottage is fully furnished and linens are provided. A washer and dryer is also available on site. The Kitchen has been recently updated with Viking Appliances. The living room has recently been upgraded to a flat panel TV.

Long Lake is a small lake (59 acres) located in Sugar Camp Wisconsin (Just a few miles south of Eagle River). The lake has no 'public' access, therefore it does not have heavy fishing pressure or boat traffic like most other lakes. The lake is abundant with walleyes, panfish, perch, northern pike, and muskie. This lake is large enough to allow motor boat traffic and is also ideal for kayakers and other recreation. The shoreline is a sandy bottom, with some reeds and weeds. If you are in need of a fishing boat, or other items, contact us and we will try to accommodate requests (some may be at an additional cost).

***Two Kayaks are now provided at no additional cost***

*This Lake has NO Boat Landing*

***Some types of pets may be available with pre-approval - There is a $50 per pet fee (for your entire stay, not per night)***

Very well maintained. We were absolutely thrilled with how nice everything was.

  • 5 of 5

Despite some questionable weather we had a fantastic stay. My two year old son and I enjoyed fishing off the dock, and we did.....for hours. My fiance is 7 months pregnant and she wanted to go somewhere quiet and do nothing. This is the perfect place. All of the furniture is comfortable and she took advantage by reading some books. We came fully prepared for this trip but the only thing we really needed was food. The cabin has every utensil and amenity you have at home. We will definitely be returning in the future.

Quiet, relaxing stay

  • 3 of 5

The cabin is nicely stocked with dishes, towels, laundry detergents, linens along with many other basics you normally do not find with other rentals. The lake is quiet and serene. We spent the majority of our stay at another lake due to a family reunion so we did not get an opportunity to fish or utilize it very much. We had two labs along with us and they LOVED being able to have enough room to run and play in the yard and take a quick dip when they needed it.

My only complaint is that the house wasn't thoroughly cleaned when we arrived. We noticed the floor needed a vacuum and in doing so we found a dirty glass, little black hair ties and half drunk water bottles in the bedrooms. So after a quick clean on our part we felt a little better. (We had 2 small children with us so a clean floor is a must!)

Overall, I would recommend this rental to those looking to get away for a quiet stay and just looking to unwind.

Great Trip

  • 5 of 5

This cabin was perfect for a short get away for me and my 2 boys. The cabin was rustic and had everything we needed. The lake is small, but very peaceful and the rowboat and kayaks were free to use which was nice. We caught plenty of fish. Inside the cabin was clean. It's also in a good location....close to Eagle River, St Germain and Minoqua. We would stay there again!

A good stay

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was comfortable and pleasant. We had taken most items you need in a kitchen but didn't need them because the cabin was stocked. The beds and the cabin where very comfortable. The fish where biting as long as you like them smaller than 5 inches. If I had any advise it would be to stay away from the White Stag Inn unless your wallet is far too fat.

Worth Repeating

  • 5 of 5

Mike and I enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It was the perfect answer for a much needed vacation. Having spent many summers in the Eagle River area when living in Wisconsin, it was great to be back and enjoy it once again. If we decide to come back to Wisconsin in the future, we would definitely consider this cottage once again. It's assets: private, large, calm and quiet lake, good for swimming, close enough to town for essentials. Liability: the lakefront has a lot of growth near the shore making it somewhat funky to enter from the shore. Suggestion: a ladder attached to the dock for easy enter/easy out.
