Wonderful little get away!

  • 5 of 5

It is deceivingly spacious inside this little cabin. There was more than enough room for my husband and I, 2 kids, and 3 dogs! It could easily have slept 6-8 (not 8 adults). The hot tub was wonderful. Amazing temperature control! You will not be hot or cold just incredibly comfortable. There were plenty of wash clothes, towels, blankets, and dishes so bringing our own was unnecessary. I did read a previous review that stated there were only 2 forks and there were only 2 forks hahaha but we made do. It is close to a gas station/general store so if you forget something little it is no big deal and yet it still has the middle of no where secluded feel. There is only one other cabin within view but hardly visible. I would love to come back in the spring or summer months to utilize the outdoor space more. All in all, our family had a GREAT time! It was peaceful and rejuvenating, which is EXACTLY what we needed. This cabin is the perfect get away to spend some quality time with your family. On check out day we hiked up Anna Ruby falls (super quick easy hike with big pay off) and drove through Helen to do a little shopping which was GREAT! The kids thought we were at Disney world! ha! You cannot beat the price of this cabin with its location alone. Two thumbs up from the Lundquists.

Great relaxing getaway

  • 4 of 5

First impression was pretty good. We could tell it had just been cleaned as the floors were still a tad wet and the hot tub was cold but turned on and heating up. Overall a great little cabin!

I think with a few minor improvements it would easily be five stars. First impression as we unlocked the door had me worried as I could see a lamp inside with the shade bent at a 45 degree angle. After Messing with it a bit I was able to get it back pretty straight but it just looked bad as we first walked in. We went to eat dinner the first night only to find out there were only 2 forks! We went and purchased some additional utinsels and plates the next day. Also, as I said before, it looked freshly cleaned on the surface but as we looked around we saw tons of cobwebs in the rafters. It’s definitley due for a full cleaning. It could also use a few more heavy blankets or bed spreads.

All in all a great trip! We would stay there again. Melanie was great to deal with and quick to respond.

Very nice cabin!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was close and convenient to Helen and the events nearby. The place was clean and offered the basics. Did not plan to use the hot tub, so can't comment on this. We brought our own airbeds based on other reviews. Did not intend to cook here, so kitchen supplies were not expected or used, except for the coffee maker. Bring your own coffee filters, salt & pepper, and whatever else you need, but otherwise OK for a short stay. The owner was nice to book through and responded kindly and promptly to our questions.

Can't wait to go back

  • 5 of 5

Exactly what I was looking for, slightly off the beaten path and secluded yet near a quaint, small town. My dog loved it and we absolutely loved it! Will undoubtedly go again!

Perfect for a little getaway, private

  • 3 of 5

A little dated but private and perfect for our weekend getaway. The close proximity to Helen and surrounding area, especially for price, was a big plus. Photos are accurate.

Fireplace was nice, a little confusing with no directions since there is a knob that makes it appear to be a gas fireplace.

The hot tub was nice but at first glance was a little questionable. It was clean but has dark marks/scratches on the lining which makes it look dirty and/or grimey. Also there are no steps or stepstool so a person with limited mobility or even just small legs may have issues getting in.

The biggest negatives were the mattresses (futon and bed)! They def need to be replaced. The futon was just thin, sunken in and uncomfortable to sit on. The bedroom mattress would actually stop us from rebooking. It's an old spring mattress that is way past needing replacement.
