About Pam and John Stanford

Pam and I are FSU graduates with a whole family of FSU graduates. We are world travelers and have properties in Costa Rica, Yellowstone, and Satellite Beach. The Pecan Plantation is our third VRBO property.

Pam and John Stanford purchased this house in 2011

Why Pam and John Stanford chose Monticello

We chose this property because its unique qualities: close to Tallahassee, great soil, quiet, safe, and serene, pecans, great biking, close to beaches, beautiful stars, sunrises and sunsets, no traffic, no stop lights. This is close to being the best rural location in the USA. Check out our Top of the World Yellowstone VRBO #239561 and Pineapple Plantation (Satellite Beach) #458644.

What makes this house unique

Perfect home and property for what we need.

  • 5 of 5

On several fronts, this Home was perfect. Property was fenced and full of beautiful pecan trees, Home had great separation of bedrooms given 2 couples, fire pit for fires after dinner and great proximity to both north Florida and South Georgia.

Awesome Graduation Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at the Pecan Plantation. Pam and John were very welcoming and had everything ready for us. The house was amazing! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the fire pit! We would definitely stay here again. Even though we were only there for a few days it felt like we had been there for a week! It was so relaxing!

Rustic and relaxing home. The home is clean, well appointed and perfect for a family get together. The 10 acre fenced in property is perfect for bringing pets as well and leaves plenty of space for ball games. A great find!

A beautiful property and a very comfortable home .

  • 5 of 5

The house had everything you would ever need in a home. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked. The hot tub was a great way to relax. The house is on 10 acres of manicured grounds and the property is fenced. Our daughter's dog had the best time running free and exploring. After a full day, we enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fire pit. The hosts, Pam and Doc were gracious hosts. Definitely the place to stay if you are going to Tallahassee.

We rented this beautiful property for our son's graduation from FSU. It was so much better than the description or pictures! Check in was easy and everything you might need is already there. Had a wonderful barbecue with friends and family, sat by the fire, and then into the hot tub. Walked the property with all its flowers and vegetables...and the pineapples! The owners picked fresh vegetables which were delicious. Close to Tallahassee and perfect to visit family attending college in the area. Definitely planning a repeat visit.
