Why Pam and John Stanford chose Monticello
We chose this property because its unique qualities: close to Tallahassee, great soil, quiet, safe, and serene, pecans, great biking, close to beaches, beautiful stars, sunrises and sunsets, no traffic, no stop lights. This is close to being the best rural location in the USA. Check out our Top of the World Yellowstone VRBO #239561 and Pineapple Plantation (Satellite Beach) #458644.

Relaxing, private, clean vacation home
My family had a wonderful stay! The owners were great to work with and have worked hard to put extras into the house for their guests! Our dogs loved getting to run free on the property and had a great time.
Very clean and nice!
We enjoyed the house everything was clean and they had everything we needed. It was very quiet and great inside and outside.
Wonderful Stay for Graduation
My family and I stayed at Pecan Planation for my daughters FSU graduation and we loved every minute of it. There were 7 of us and our dog and we all had plenty of room but still able to be together when we wanted to. The grounds and fresh vegetables Pam and John supplied to us were great. I definitely recommend this home for a stay. Travel to Tallahassee was 30-45 minutes but not a big deal for us. We truly enjoyed the environment and our hosts. Would definitely stay here again, Thank you a great weekend!
Perfect home and property for what we need.
On several fronts, this Home was perfect. Property was fenced and full of beautiful pecan trees, Home had great separation of bedrooms given 2 couples, fire pit for fires after dinner and great proximity to both north Florida and South Georgia.
Awesome Graduation Weekend!
We loved our stay at the Pecan Plantation. Pam and John were very welcoming and had everything ready for us. The house was amazing! We enjoyed the Jacuzzi and the fire pit! We would definitely stay here again. Even though we were only there for a few days it felt like we had been there for a week! It was so relaxing!
Rustic and relaxing home. The home is clean, well appointed and perfect for a family get together. The 10 acre fenced in property is perfect for bringing pets as well and leaves plenty of space for ball games. A great find!
The rolling hills around Monticello offer one of the most serene and pastoral settings in Florida. Road and mountain biking are excellent, along with hunting, birding, hiking, and farm exploring. Close to Florida State University.
