My Hideaway is located in the beach townhome community of 300 Ocean Mile on the East End of beautiful St. George Island.
A beautifully decorated 1 BR/1BA townhome, My Hideaway offers you the comforts of home for your escape to the beach, with modern conveniences at reasonable rates.
The master bedroom boasts a comfortable King sized bed where you can drift into a peaceful slumber as you listen to the nearby waves crash along the shoreline. A large sliding glass door opens onto a private balcony where you can revel in the sight of the Gulf of Mexico or the Apalachicola Bay! The master bedroom also provides privacy from the main living room and a flat panel TV for your convenience. A full bathroom is located just outside of the bedroom.
Downstairs from the master bedroom, you enter into the kitchen and dining area. The well equipped kitchen supplies all of your basic cooking needs and plenty of space to cook up the catch of the day! A dining table and 2 additional bar stools offer plenty of seating and a convenient washer/dryer is available for your use.
Peaceful colors in the living room allow you to unwind and relax into the beach atmosphere as you acquiesce into island living. A Queen sleeper sofa provides additional sleeping room when needed, with plenty of seating to accommodate everyone. A large, flat panel TV and DVD player will keep you entertained on any rainy days or you can curl up and enjoy a good beach read. The open deck with high top table is an excellent place to enjoy your morning cup of coffee as you take in the sight of Gulf of Mexico waters. Dolphin sightings occur often so you might even enjoy a show from the local wildlife! A single cot is available for sleeping an extra person, most suitable for a small child.
Less than two minutes will get your toes in the sand by way of the convenient boardwalk. First, you will find yourself at the gate of the large, community pool with lounge chairs, tables and umbrellas for your enjoyment. Also available is a large, spacious deck with 4 park style grills, a great place to meet other visiting families and share stories of your favorite Island experiences, things to do and places to eat!
A short stroll from the community pool leads you to the soft white sands and glistening Gulf waters of Florida’s Panhandle where you and your loved ones can enjoy the warm sunshine, play in the surf or work on that Florida tan! With miles of beautiful beach, you can wander into the nearby State Park or get lost in the other direction to watch the shorebirds and depending on the time of year, possibly a sea turtle nest!
A paved bike path accessible from the main road will take you into the Island center where you can enjoy local gift shops, restaurants and the great new Lighthouse Keeper’s Museum and reconstructed Lighthouse! Don’t forget to climb to the top and get a bird’s eye view of the Island!
Whatever your vacationing preference, you are sure to find it on St. George Island and My Hideaway is the perfect place to rest, relax and remember the simple pleasures in life.

Very nice place for a stay on SGI. Very convenient to the beach. The property had everything we needed for our stay. Only negative would be the coffee pot. It is VERY SLOW to make coffee but where do you really have to be on vacation. I will tell others about your place. Thanks!!
This is our 5th year on the island. We decided to come early and we rented my hideaway. We loved it. There were views of the ocean from both balconies. we loved the way the condo was decorated. It is so close to the park ,you can easily walk there. The bed was comfortable and the complex very clean. We would definitely rent again.
Great week on SGI
This townhouse works perfectly for me and my husband. I particularly like the tall chairs on the deck so I can sit and relax and see the gulf. We’ve stayed in this unit 2 or three times.
Great location in a cute beachy condo, walk straight to the beach no roads to cross.
Jamie’s condo has everything you want and need for fabulous beach vacation. I highly recommend this location.
The mattress is soft and lumpy, but other than that it’s a perfect location, both decks have ocean views. The kitchen is fully equipped. She even has an ice maker, the coffee pot is extremely slow. I prefer a $16. Mr.Coffee that’s fast and hot. If the mattress gets upgraded to firm, we will definitely want to return.
Mattress needs to be replaced
The house is lovely, but the mattress has been well used.Needs to be replaced as the lumps are uncomfortable and miserable sleeping.The sheets also need replacing.Such a lovely place not to be 100% comfortable.Sleeping and being refreshed is the main focal point.
Hi Peggy, we were happy to accommodate you while you’re nearby home was being remodeled and wish you would have made us aware of any insufficiency during your stay so that we could have made you more comfortable. We always have fresh sheets on hand and would have gladly purchased a memory foam topper or something similar if the mattress was firmer than you are used to in your own home. We are thankful that you enjoyed My Hideaway otherwise but feel a one star review was a bit harsh, particularly since nothing was reported as a problem during your stay. We will be checking the bed for the lumps you referenced and will purchase a topper for our future guests just in case, as we realize everyone has different preferences for sleeping. Thanks again!
Nice condo and wonderful location
Really enjoyed the location of the condo. Spent many hours walking the spectacular beach. Also enjoyed the State Park that is very nearby. The little town of St George Island was nice as well. The condo was very nice and had everything we needed. Jamie is excellent to work with and she responded very quickly to our inquiries.
St. George Island is a barrier island located in the Panhandle of Florida, a true paradise! Rated #3 by Dr. Beach, your St. George Island experience will create wonderful memories for you and your family for years to come! This beautiful beach townhome is located in the East End area, about 4 miles from Island shopping and eating. Rent a golf cart or scooter or take your bicycle down the paved bike path to enjoy the sights and sounds of St. George Island. Stop by famous Aunt Ebby's to enjoy an ice cream cone, then take a leisurely walk thru local gift shops, peruse kayak and paddle board rentals at Journey's of St. George or book a fishing trip with one of their experienced captains. Local restaurants will indulge your seafood palate or buy your own fresh catch to bring home. No high-rises, no distractions, St. George Island is the perfect location to spend quality time with family and friends!
