About Debbie Chapman

I have lived in Maine for over 30 years. The cabin was purchased in the late 80's and we enjoyed the cabin every summer. We lived there in the summer months with our two girls and enjoyed water sports. This is a great place to spend a summer or fall day. I am sure you will enjoy it as much as we did.

Debbie Chapman purchased this cabin in 1988

Why Debbie Chapman chose Sangerville

Situated conveniently in central Maine. Easy access to Acadia National Park, Baxter State Park, Moosehead Lake region or just hang out by the water front and relax. Enjoy the many festivals in the surrounding towns.

What makes this cabin unique

This property is beautiful! It had all the amenities anybody could ask for!

We loved this property and would definately return. Debbie is very kind and easy to work with. We enjoyed the kayaks and listening to the loons while sitting on the dock. I love that we were able to bring our 3 month old puppy and he felt very comfortable. I can't say enough good things!

Debbie's cabin was top notch clean, easily accessible, quiet and private. We loved it! Debbie was extremely helpful and quick to respond whenever we needed her. The loons were out every morning; we had never heard or seen so many! Thank you Debbie for a beautiful stay. We hope to come back next year!

Lovely, peaceful, and perfect

  • 5 of 5

What a lovely, peaceful, perfect place to disconnect and recharge! We had a last-minute change in our travel plans and Debbie was incredibly responsive and accommodating. We only stayed for the weekend, but are already thinking about when we can come stay for an entire week or more. The photos do not do this place justice. It is so lovely. Our entertainment was watching the full moon rise over the lake each night and all the night time critters emerge. We saw otters and bald eagles and loons and frogs. We can't wait to return to the cozy cabin!

Isolated beauty

  • 4 of 5

This lake is amazing. Quiet and filled with wildlife. Calm quiet and very out of the way. The home is lovely. Well appointed and isolated. There are other cabins around the lake, but we never heard anyone. We brought our dogs and they loved every minute of the trip. The location offers kayaks, boats, life jackets, fire pit, bbq grill, wide front deck with exquisite views and large expansive windows. Truly, if you want to go "off the grid" this is your place.

There is no wifi as stated and limited cell phone capabilities. The TV has about 4 channels. Bring games and cards and books and music that doesn't need a cloud. Also bring your usual personal amenities. We brought extra toilet paper, paper towels, towels, other comforts of home life. You will need to stock on groceries. The nearest store is about 30 minutes. The kitchen is well appointed. We did not lack for any pans, utensils or serving ware.

The rooms are nice. There is a toilet upstairs along with a double and 3 twins. Those windows open with screens so we could get a breeze. The downstairs double could not have windows open. The beds were a challenge for us. There were no mattress pads (a personal issue) and they were very hard. The two of us could not sleep on the bed together. Sleeping bags might have helped.

We thoroughly enjoyed the lake and everything it had to offer. It was a bit too remote for us. Our own needs outweighed our thoughts of isolation. We needed to be closer to restaurants and other activities.

Debbie is lovely. Very responsive and always kind. She offers a lovely location. It is perfect for a couple of families or a larger family. Just the two of us was more of a challenge.
