About Jim Keenan

We are the Keenan family. Jim,Ellen and 5 kids ages 17 to 9 mos. We all love our mountain home as we love to spend winter days skiing and summer days walking around Beaver Creek and Vail. Our home is pet friendly, we have our own dog name Betty so we can relate to wanting to travel with your pet.

Just remember, the mountains surrounding our home offer plenty of outdoor activities in the winter as well as the summer! a great place to just get away to.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This was the perfect place for our whole family to unwind after a day of skiing! Also, very easy access to the parking lots at Beaver Creek, loved that with our 2 kids to keep up with. Loved relaxing in the over sized jetted tub in the master. Very warm and comfortable, just like home. Thanks Jim and Ellen.

Nice but with drawbacks

  • 3 of 5

The living area is on the second floor. It is quite spacious and includes a gas fireplace, a large dinning table/area, and it has a balcony with a view of the Beaver Creek ski slopes. The kitchen is well laid out and stocked. Also on the second floor are two rather small bedrooms. One contains a queen sized bed which essentially fills the whole room, a very small closet, and does not have a dresser/chest drawers for storing clothes. The other has a set of bunk beds. The master bedroom is up on the next floor and is quite large and very nice. It has a very elaborate attached bathroom and a lot of closet space. The biggest problem with this property is its location, which is very close to highway I-70 and busy Nottingham road. The traffic noise from these two sources made it almost impossible to sleep with the windows open. Because the weather was rather warm during our stay, this made it rather uncomfortable to sleep in the two smaller bedrooms since they do not have overhead fans and there is no AC.

Beautiful condo......but noisy

  • 3 of 5

Overall, we loved the lovely layout of this condo and all of the amenities are spot on! There was plenty of room for 6 of us without stepping over each other. We loved the beautiful dining table and was a comfy spot to play cards and game in the evening. Kitchen is perfectly appointed. Bedrooms, baths, etc was perfect. Jim is a great host! The only thing we didn't like and was not aware of is the traffic noise is very disturbing. We had no idea the condo was right on a very busy street! It was pretty warm when we were there in mid-to late July and we found it hot at night . There is no air conditioning and I understand most homes in that area do not have central air, we were hot at night and if we were home in the afternoon it was stuffy. The condo is fabulous in every other way, but if you are seeking solace and quiet, this is not the place to be.

Nice summer weekend in the mountains!

  • 5 of 5

Loved our stay! Very comfortable accommodations with everything we needed. Jim was available to answer any questions during our stay. The house was conveniently located for a quick drive to Vail, and there are numerous absolutely beautiful hiking options within short driving distance.
