Not a Pleasant Experience but Conveniently Located
We stayed at this property a week before Christmas to escape the brutal New England winters. There were 4 of us including 2 children and the house was big enough for us. The hosts allowed us to check-in earlier than the check-in time of 3:00 p.m, we checked-in around 2:00 p.m.
When we arrived, there was a repair guy fixing the pool screens and stayed at the property for over 2 hours, the good things is that the issue was fixed and the bad things it that that the repair work was just outside the master bedroom window and we couldn’t relax or unpack with the guy right outside our window less than 4 feet from us!
The house was generally clean but had a good layer of dust all over the living room and the kitchen. Now, I understand that rooms can be dusty if people don’t stay there constantly but if the management company was expecting guests, they should have cleaned the morning or at least the night before. Anyway, we cleaned the downstairs (my wife and older kid are allergic to dust) to avoid a sneezing attack. With two young kids, we did some light cooking during our stay. Unfortunately, the pots & pans, spoons & forks and plates were all dirty and greasy (not just dusty). Also, there was nothing (not even bare minimum) in the kitchen to get started. Based on our prior experiences, owners/management company always have basic minimum essential things to get stated before we can go to the grocery store to get them (salt, pepper, oil, dishwasher liquid soap etc.). To their credit, they did provide toilet rolls and 1-2 day bathing soap supply.
One major issue was the swimming pool. There seems to be some issue with the thermostat (that is what the maintenance guy told us). We left a voice message with the management company and were able to connect with them live the 2nd time we called them. The guy came by to check the issue but wasn't really sure what the issue was. His temporary solution was to add water more cold water to the pool to lower the temperature but that didn’t really help much because soon (within 30 minutes), the water started overflowing the pool.
The water was extremely hot, when he checked it was 97 degree. We were hardly able to use the pool during the day time since the water temperature rose further due to atmospheric heat. At first we didn't realize but all four of us especially the kid's bodies had red burn marks and still have them. This is something that you need to look at and get it fixed ASAP
Ashish, I'm very disappointed at your review, we have had our villa for 5 years, which is rented out for 11 months of the year & have never had a bad review. We use one of the top management companies in Florida who maintain our property to the highest standard & have a fantastic response rate to any problems which may occur when you have hundreds of happy guests checking in & out every year. I have copied and pasted your email below, being a veiled threat that if we didn't refund the pool heat money you would write a poor review. If you had contacted us at the time you were staying at the villa & had the pool heat switched off we would have refunded you for the days not used.

Hello Angela- I will write a detailed review but I wanted to let you know that overall we had a great experience staying at your house.

Please let us know if would be possible to get the refund for the pool heating because of this experience.
No mention of dust, dirty cutlery, or dirty cooking implements. We never leave any condiments or food stuff from a previous guest as this is unhygienic. I think you maybe confusing our privately owned villa with a hotel.
We allowed you free of charge early check in, repairs to netting would have been complete if we had refused your request.
Mgmt. Co response:
The guest only contacted us the one time on Dec 22nd. This was before 10 AM. Our maintenance guy went round at 11:18 AM and turned down the temp. The pool was a little low, which is normal when the pool heater is on & its cold weather, so he placed the hose in the pool & went back at 1 to take the hose out & to check that the pool was OK, which it was. So from the time of the guest informing us we dealt with it within 2hrs.
Great place to stay
The house is great, pool and hottub are refreshing after a day on the golf course. Location to stores is quite close, less than 5 minutes by car.
Would stay here again.
Many thanks for your review Wies. We are pleased you had a nice holiday and enjoyed our home. We hope to welcome you back in the future. Many thanks. Angela and Darren
