Cozy and well furnished, this 1 bedroom in-law unit has plenty of natural light, and is located in a nice quiet house in the Sunset/Parkside district. Recently built, very clean and bright. The bedroom is furnished with a new queen size bed, and has plenty of closet space. Fresh linens and towels are provided for your comfort and convenience. A large sliding glass door leads to a lovely backyard. The apartment has an open dining/living room floor plan. Refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishwasher and all you may need for comfortable stay. The spacious bathroom has a Jacuzzi jet tub, as well as a separate shower stall. In the living room you will find a comfy couch and a large flat screen TV equipped with cable. Hi-speed WiFi is available throughout the house. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the garage.

The location of the apartment is quite safe and convenient. It is close to public transportation, only 1 block away from the Taraval MUNI line which will take you directly to downtown, or to the beach in the opposite direction. If you come by car, free street parking is easy to find, and both the 101 and 280 freeways are nearby. There are many stores, restaurants, and several shopping plazas a few blocks away, and Stern Grove is just around the corner.

Location, location, location!

We loved our stay here. The unit has everything we needed - laundry, kitchen, bath (2 showers!) and bedroom. We vacationed here for 6 days and this place was perfect for getting around the city. The Muni is right up the street, a 2 minute walk. Public transportation is super easy to figure out and so accessible from this unit. We did not need a car but we did rent one for a day to explore - took a ride down Rt 1 along the ocean - beautiful! The parking space is a good perk, as parking is tough around there. The only complaint is that the futon couch is not overly comfortable for sitting and relaxing, but it was ok.

Recommendation: Lolinda's for a good steak. From the outside it looks like nothing, but inside the decor is awesome, the food delicious and the staff was super friendly.

Wonderful spot for us to stay with our 10 month old baby while sightseeing!

Very clean and neat. Everything we needed to make ourselves at home, and a comfy bed to come back to after a long day sightseeing. We had a rental car, so the on-site parking was a huge bonus!

A San Francisco Gem!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Mike's house. It was very close to public transportation, great restaurants yet was in a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The apartment was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Although the house is occupied by tenants upstairs, we rarely heard them and never saw them. We loved having a place to park our rental car, as street parking is hard to find and paid parking runs about $40 a day in the city. This was our first trip to SF, but hope we will be able to return and would stay at Mike's place again!

Cozy apartment in a great location

We stayed here with our granddaughter and the apartment was perfect for us. There was a full kitchen with some staples provided so we could make breakfast or heat up leftovers from dinners. The bed and futon sofa was comfortable for sleeping. It was great to come home to a jaccuzi tub to warm up after being out in the cold. What we really appreciated was to be able to park our car on the side of the driveway every night because it would have been difficult to find street parking. The location is very close to the Stonestown Mall where there are many eating places and places to shop. It is also a block away from eating places on Taraval. Mike is an excellent person to work with, answering any questions promptly, and he made sure that we were comfortable. Check in and check out procedures were easy. We loved our stay and will definitely return.

Convenient location and excellent value

We spent six days visiting the downtown area and Monterey from the apartment . Even though it's a basement unit you're not below ground so there's a full window in the dining area and a patio door off the bedroom . The private off street parking was great as we often got back late and parking on the road would have been hard to find . Public transit is very near and very efficient . Definitely not worth taking a car in town . The unit itself was clean and spacious . It had everything you could need and more . The bathroom was large with a tub/shower and a shower stall , plenty of space for two people to get ready at the same time . Washer/dryer in the garage with easy access by the kitchen was a huge perk for us . Another asset for us as my wife suffers from allergies and there are no carpets , all laminate flooring .The bed was very comfortable with plenty of storage in the closet and two dressers . We felt that what we paid for all the conveniences of home was an outstanding value compared to renting a hotel room . Our travel plans will bring us back to San Francisco in a few years and we will definitely stay here again . We didn't really have the need to speak with Mike very often but he always answered texts , phone calls or e-mails very quickly . The only thing that I can think of that could be an improvement would be a BBQ in the back yard .
