Cozy and well furnished, this 1 bedroom in-law unit has plenty of natural light, and is located in a nice quiet house in the Sunset/Parkside district. Recently built, very clean and bright. The bedroom is furnished with a new queen size bed, and has plenty of closet space. Fresh linens are provided for your comfort and convenience. A large sliding glass door leads to a lovely backyard. The apartment has an open dining/living room floor plan. Refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishwasher and all you may need for comfortable stay. The spacious bathroom has a Jacuzzi jet tub, as well as a separate shower stall. In the living room you will find a comfy couch and a large flat screen TV equipped with cable. Hi-speed wifi is available throughout the house. For your convenience, there is a washer and dryer in the garage.

The location of the apartment is quite safe and convenient. It is close to public transportation, only 1 block away from the Taraval MUNI line which will take you directly to downtown, or to the beach in the opposite direction. If you come by car, free street parking is easy to find, and both the 101 and 280 freeways are nearby. There are many stores, restaurants, and several shopping plazas a few blocks away, and Stern Grove is just around the corner.

Excellent base for SF and the peninsula

My wife & I chose this property mostly for the location. It was easy to drive out of the city to the airport on Monday morning, easy to get to downtown SF, and easy to get down the peninsula to see friends--and having a parking space was a real bonus, too. But we also liked the apartment itself. It's very clean and well equipped. We cooked a meal here one night and the kitchen was amazingly well stocked. There was some noise from upstairs, but not much at all; otherwise, the neighborhood is perfectly quiet--we had 3 good nights' sleep here. Mike made arrival and departure a snap, and he was straightforward and generous throughout. This is not a luxury rental--that's the only reason for a 4 rather than a 5--but it's perfectly adequate and very strategically located.

Nice place!

The property was conveniently located in the Avenues of San Francisco, close to a major thoroughfare (Hyw 101) that allowed us easy access to points north and south. It is also very close to public transportation; however, we had our own vehicle so this was not needed. Parking for our vehicle was tight (many cars park on the street so, at times, it was like threading a needle to back our SUV into the driveway between the other parked cars) but we were able to safely park off the street in a designated spot for us in the driveway. The unit itself was clean and tidy and exactly what the photos on the website illustrated it to be. We picked this location because of the single bedroom that separated it from the rest of the apartment. The neighborhood was very quiet and, with the exception of occasionally hearing footsteps from the unit above ours, we didn't hear any noise to speak of. All appliances were in good working order. The only "complaint" that I would have was that there was no apparent way to control the climate in the unit; on occasion, the heater would come on and blow warm air but we could not find a thermostat anywhere in the unit (admittedly, I did not inquire about this with the owner; perhaps there was one that I couldn't find) so we assumed that it was controlled by the larger unit above ours. This wasn't really a problem for us because, whenever it became warm in the unit, we simply opened the windows to enjoy the cool evenings. I messaged the owner a couple of times before and once during our visit (to inquire about a delivered package for the other tenant) and he responded quickly each time. I would definitely consider this unit again if/when visiting the area.

Quiet neighborhood

Nice, quiet place in the Sunset area located about a block near the MUNI line. Easy to get to Golden Gate Park, the San Francisco Zoo and the beach.

Clean and efficient

Enjoyed our stay, well stocked apartment, conveniently located. Parking on the side of the driveway is definitely a plus in San Francisco. Excellent communication, easy check in and check out process. First time to use Home Away, was a positive experience, would definitely do it again.
