Why Rena Sciturro Wilson chose Mancos
I built on this particular property because my 85 year old father lives in his home farther back on the property and it gives me a chance to visit him regularly when I check people in and out.
What makes this Bungalow unique
Because my father creates a wonderful garden each summer fresh vegetables are a treat for guests. This Cottages sits in a rural setting but not far from town, mountains, Mesa Verde, fishing, horseback riding, and biking right off of the property. This cottage is brand new with high end finishes.

Beautifully decorated and had all the amenities
Very private but still close to town very modern in a rural environment great place to kick back and relax
Perfect for Couples
My husband and I had a wonderful week here September 25 to October 2, 2017. The cottage feels new and modern with very good quality features/appliances. We found everything we needed for cooking, relaxing and laundry. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the bathroom is great. Rena was a wonderful host. She communicated in a timely manner prior to, during and after our stay. Unfortunately, we didn't get to meet her in person, but she checked in on us via text and made some suggestions for fun things to do in the area. There was also quite a bit of information in the cottage about the area. We survived without wifi and probably relaxed more because of it. Our AT&T cell service occasionally let a text come/go through, but for reliable service we had to get closer to Mancos or Cortez. This was a perfect location for exploring Mesa Verde National Park. We also made day trips to Four Corners and did the drive up to Ouray... spectacular! The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad out of Durango is a must do. We highly recommend this cottage for the location, ambiance of the cottage and the beautiful surroundings. Thank you, Rena!
comfortable, quiet ,and relaxing
Had a lovely month at a modern bungalow.
Everything was provided for us except food,
The kitchen was up to date and a joy to cook in with views
of the pond and the mesa.
I would recommend this cottage to any couple
seeking a comfortable quiet and relaxing retreat with
restaurants and lots of art close by in town.
Just as advertised!
It is a beautiful cottage with all the extras you could want. Stylish, modern and very clean!
A great place! Very comfortable and well equipped. No WiFi but a coffee shop located in town provided us access. We did have cell service. And I was glad my husband could disconnect and enjoy this beautiful area. Perfect for wanting to spend time at Mesa Verde; very close. And the town of Mancos has restaurants, local art galleries, and groceries.
I would definitely recommend this cottage.
Peaceful and serene!
This property was a great place to go to get out of the big city and enjoy some peace and quiet. It was conveniently located near Mesa Verde National Park, about 4-5 miles away from the Visitor Center. It's another 45 min. drive into the park from there. It is only 27 miles from Durango, 20 miles to Cortez. Rena was very easy to work with and a very nice host. Fresh flowers and farm fresh eggs awaited us. The inside is finished off very nicely and had everything we needed. The only negative was that there is no AC and even with the 2 ceiling fans and a couple small fans that we brought it did get a little warm a couple of nights due to no breeze. Due to the fire in the Durango area there was a NO Open Burn in place, so sitting outside by the fire pit was not an option. And because of the pond nearby the mosquitos were out, so we did not sit outside too much. This would be a fabulous place in the Spring or Fall. We would recommend it!
