Historic 1911 presidential Pullman sleeper car. Rail Baron H.E. Huntington owned this private travel coach in the early 1900's and used it to travel from his estate in San Marino Ca, to New York and then onto Europe where he would purchase rare manuscripts and paintings for his museum located at his estate. His most famous purchase is a painting by Thomas Gainsborough called The Blue Boy which was framed in the 1700's. It should also be noted that Huntington's uncle C.P. Huntington owned the Central Pacific Railroad which ultimately met The Union Pacific at Promontory Point in Utah with the driving of the Golden Spike.

Lovely renovation. Very comfortable mattresses, plenty of hot water. Great location for other activities and food available. Owner is very accomodating. Historical information available, which adds to the nostalgia of staying in this wonderful railcar that is loaded with so much interesting history.
