About the property

Stay only minutes away from the town that USA TODAY dubbed "One of the 10 Best Southern Small Towns"! Get away from it all, but be close enough to enjoy local wineries, scenic hikes, historic towns and breath-taking views. Go tubing or white water rafting. Or simply sit outside on one of three outdoor decks while watching the calm waters of the Chestatee river flow by. Sip wine, read a book, or cook s'mores. Enjoy being cuddled up by the outdoor stone fireplace. Beautiful 3 bedroom (plus a kid's loft) log cabin home set on 6.5 wooded acres. Very private. Cabin features wood burning fireplace inside, full kitchen, laundry, satellite TV, wi-fi, hot tub. Though private, the location is within 5 to 10 minutes from North Georgia wineries and the historic town of Dahlonega. Close access to numerous Chattahoochee National Forest sites with incredible hiking trails. Located 20 minutes from Cleveland and Dawsonville, 30 minutes to Helen. Great Girls Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My college friends and I enjoyed an excellent girls' weekend at the cabin. The cabin comfortably accommodated 6 adults and 1 infant. It was such a treat to catch up on the deck with some wine, rocking chairs and the sound of the river. We also had a great time in the hot tub and playing board games. It was easy to prepare a few large group meals in the spacious kitchen and were close to Dahlonega for a couple other meals (we loved Picnic Cafe and Dessertery for dessert and breakfast). We booked this cabin because of its close proximity to Amicalola Falls State Park and wineries. In the end, we didn't even make it to any of the wineries (but had plenty of wine at the cabin to work with) but enjoyed our hike to the falls. The weather was pretty rainy so unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to use the outdoor fireplace or take advantage of all the other lovely outdoor amenities, but there were plenty of nice dry spaces to hang out and enjoy each other's company. Wendy was an excellent hostess and very helpful. All of my friends and I would highly recommend staying here.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind remarks! I wish I could put the cabin in a little bubble so that it would always be sunny, but there is something relaxing about hearing the rain on the tin roof (what didn't Norah Jones write that!) or snow gently falling in the woods. I really appreciate the tips on places you enjoyed in Dahlonega. I have a list that I keep of guest recommendations, and there is always something new to try.

Tucked away with peaceful surroundings

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying here with 3 couples. It was tucked away from the road but worth the drive. And just a short drive to downtown Dahlonega. Beautiful cabin and scenery. We all had our own space and enjoyed the hot tub.

Great weekend getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed this cabin so much. Awesome location near all the wineries. Great experience and communication with owner. We were a group of 7 girls for a Bachelorette weekend doing a wine tour and had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the hot tub and view of the river. Will definitely stay here again!

Clean, stunning slice of heaven

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we arrived everything was so easy. We were right in the middle of Dahlonega's best wineries and right on the river. Wendy was SO helpful and made finding cabs, checking out and our overall experience easy.

Spring Hill, Florida

Peaceful and secluded.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautiful. I loved sitting on the deck and listening to the river. We seen several deer in the mornings as we were headed out to town. Dahlonega is a great little town, the locals are all very friendly. We didn't want our vacation to end, we will definitely be back. Thank you Wendy for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Owner's Response: You all were great guests! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Dahlonega has been voted a Top 100 small town in America. The cabin, situated in a private wooded setting outside of town, is great for those who enjoy getting away from it all, however, still want shopping, restaurants and great wineries only minutes away.
