About Ginger

We grew up in Cincinnati and love the city. We visit often, and love sharing this little house with others. I taught elementary school and Montessori pre-school, and Jim managed corporate real estate for Jones Lang LaSalle. We have two grown children in San Francisco. Check out our kids' creative business at leafcutterdesigns dot com. We split our time between Berkeley, Driggs ID, Cincinnati, and Uruguay.

Ginger purchased this house in 2014

Why Ginger chose Cincinnati

It was just too cute for our frequent visits to the Queen City - and the location is wonderful. We are one block from the historic gas street lights of Hyde Park, and on the corner is the first of many restaurants and shops. Fun to walk to so many places.

What makes this house unique

Everything new, everything on one floor, cute back yard with tall trees for relaxing, great location, easy parking out front. Full kitchen and full laundry makes for an easy visit.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

Perfect location to stay for our niece's wedding. We enjoyed the new kitchen while making wedding mints. The house was spotless and tastefully decorated. The patio gave us a relaxing spot to unwind after all the festivities. Plenty of parking in front of the house for 2 vehicles. Walking distance to Hyde Square - we had a yummy breakfast at Echo Restaurant. I highly recommend staying at Hopscotch!

Great house, great location, great price

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Ginger's place. The house was not huge (although I wasn't expecting it to be) but it was newly remodeled and very nice inside. The location was perfect for us. I loved being in the Hyde Park/Oakley area and it was walkable to so many things. Will definitely try to stay here again next time I'm visiting Cincinnati.

Cute house in great spot

  • 5 of 5

This was my second stay at Hopscotch. The house is small, perfect for two couples or a small family. Ginger has thought of everything and the house has very nice, high-end touches. The shower is lovely, the beds comfy and there is a great little patio out back. A 15 minute walk puts you in Hyde Square with all its shops, restaurants and watering holes. Don't miss Echo for breakfast, Alfreds for a great burger and Unwind is the perfect spot for wine and conversation. This house is perfect for a get away, Ginger is a wonderful hostess. Highly recommend if you are planning a trip to Cincinnati.

Third visit was great again

  • 5 of 5

Hopscotch is such a great place to stay. It is spotless, very well equipped in the kitchen and lots of towels and supplies. Great location and so easy to get to golfing, shopping and the freeway. The kitchen and bathroom are very New and the patio out back is a perfect place to unwind. We will return for a fourth time.

Girls weekend

  • 5 of 5

This home was the perfect meet in the middle spot for a ladies weekend! When we arrived everything looked just like it did in the pictures. The house is very clean and all the furniture was comfortable. We really enjoyed the location of this house and we didn't leave a 5 mile radius of it.

The square had great restaurants and cute shops to spend the day exploring.

The house was perfect for 4 people and having the extra sink in the bedroom really helped. Great stay!
