About David Cooper
Hello and thank you for taking the time to look at my listing! I am a career military officer originally from Austin, Texas finishing my last few years of military service in the DC area. I hope you enjoy your time visiting our nation's capital, and if there is anything I can do to assist, please let me know!
David Cooper purchased this Townhome in 2012
Why David Cooper chose Eastern Market
Historic Capitol Hill is truly a downtown suburb that offers all the excitement of the city yet retains a safe and small neighborhood feel. The residents here are a tight-knit group comprised mostly of families who possess a strong sense of community. Nestled within the long rows of neighborhood homes you will find pockets of excitement ranging from a multitude of eating establishments to DC's only remaining original public produce market, known as Eastern Market. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

Location, Location, Location
What a perfect place to see DC. Located in a residential area, but three blocks to Metro station, which is a must to use getting around DC. Can walk to Botanical Gardens, Art Gallery, Congressional Building, Library of Congress in less than 15 minutes. Of course, one is at the entrance to the National Mall where Grant is the savor of the Union guarding our Nation to the end Abraham Lincoln oversing our Liberty with Gorege Washington Monument towering to the heavens.
The owner is very organized and readily answered several questions.
Would not recommend a car, but check out Ridici next to the East Market, they make a mean Canoli, even though they have to put the filling in the crust they still don't seem to make them too soggy.
We will be back.
Close to Capitol, museums, etc. Great food in area and pleasant surroundings. Wonderful time in DC!
Great Neighborhood!!! Just as advertised!!!
The property is conveniently located and surrounded by many nice bars and restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and friendly. We felt safe at all times. Inside the property was clean and was exactly as pictured. There are two beds and a pull out couch to accommodate 6 guests also as advertised. The check in and check out were a breeze! Great place!!
Family trip to DC
Apartment was very nice. We had 2 couples and 2 children (5 & 8) and were very comfortable. A few suggestions for the owners...kitchen could have a better supply of pots, pans etc and a larger coffee pot. Beds were ok (We prefer a really firm mattress and these are moderately firm) but sofa bed was pretty rough. Overall apartment was clean and attractive and the location was great. We were able to find parking for 2 cars in front of the apartment (our DC son got visitor passes for us in advance of our arrival). And plenty of good food within a few blocks.
A nice place in a great location. Close to the sights and comfortable for a family of 4.
David is a great host. Very responsive and accommodating. We found the unit to be clean and very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms are updated with nice fixtures, faucets, and appliances. The location is fantastic and your are short walk from the Capital, Smithsonian museums, and many other DC landmarks. We would most certainly stay here again when going to DC.
Great location! Authentic DC experience!
Felt like a DC resident staying in this historic townhouse! Perfect place for our family of 5 (including teenagers). Benefit of having a kitchen for breakfast before we headed out for the day. Located just a short walk from the Library of Congress and the Capital. Metro station and Eastern market area a short walk in the other direction. Check out Matchbox Pizza or Teds Bulletin for lunch or dinner. Visited all the museums as well as he newly opened Museum of the Bible which was top notch. Thank you for a great stay!
