One of four units in the Seward Square Rowhouse, Unit 3 is located on the top level and comfortably sleeps 6 adults with 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Professionally furnished by interior designers, the unit features a fully equipped kitchen with custom cabinets, carrera marble countertops and top of the line KitchenAid stainless steel appliances, and spa-like bathrooms that showcase glass showers and custom tile work. A washer & dryer and 60' LED HDTV with cable and high-speed wireless internet complete the interior living space, while a large deck off the living area provides a much coveted outdoor living space and more room for entertaining.

Located in the center of historic Capitol Hill, the Seward Square Rowhouse is within walking distance of everything you need and want to see. And of course it's extremely close proximity to the Capitol and various Smithsonian museums puts you literally at the doorstep of our nation's history. It is an absolutely wonderful location for both residents and visitors alike!

No expense was spared in the complete refurbishment of this house. You will be staying in a historic home complete with modern amenities--1880's on the outside and 2010's on the inside! Great place in a great location!

Really enjoyed our stay! Everything was neat, clean and as advertised. It’s a very short walk to many restaurants and also to the Capitol Bldg. We had a great time!

Fantastic location

Condo was as depicted and comfortable for two couples. Especially enjoyed the outdoor deck space as weather was wonderful during our stay. Cannot say enough about location if capital hill is your destination. We were able to walk to almost everything we wished to visit and only s $10 uber to anything else we did during our stay. Plus only 15 minutes to airport. Interior was comfortable with nice finishes. My only suggestions would be to replace the 4 cup coffeemaker with a full size one and to replace the bed pillows but this did not detract from our stay.

Inconvenient arrival

We arrived at our rental in the late afternoon on a very hot day. We had a smooth entry into the building, as directions were clearly written. When entering the rental, the temperature was 91 degrees. We tried everything to get the air conditioner going, but could not. After calling the maintenance man listed on the info list, we did receive a call back, but were told his arrival would be around 8pm. Being out of towners, we worried that we would not be able to find an acceptable hotel at night if the air conditioner could not be fixed. We called the owner, who did respond with other options only after we were clear the situation was a hardship. The maintenance man did come around earlier than 8 pm and the owner was also able to put us into a unit just below the original unit. It was a good thing the maintenance guy was there when we moved to the new unit, because the air conditioner was not set properly there either. He changed the filter and the temp began to cool. After a day or two of touring, we tried to use the tv and it was not connected to the cable service, which was also an inconvenience. Also, the beds are pretty uncomfortable, and when we attempted to open the sliding door of the first apartment, it slid right off the tracks. The maintenance guy told us that it happens to that door. This rental was not the most economical option, so we expected comfort at the very least, but that was not our experience. Would be a very worthwhile rental if necessary investment for fixes/upgrades were done. The location is perfectly located for touring. We did not use our car once the entire time we were there. We walked everywhere and were happy to be so close to the Capitol and the mall.

Owner's Response: We responded immediately once notified by the guest that the air conditioning was not working, and my maintenance super arrived at soon as he was able. Once we realized it could not be fixed quickly we provided another unit for their stay. All units were equipped with new mattresses and boxsprings last year, and while I realize bed comfort is a matter of personal opinion, I have not received any complaints on the beds from previous guests since they were replaced. Finally, service interruptions from Comcast cable occasionally happen in DC, and unfortunately I have no control over them.

Great location, great condo!

Our family of four had a great time here! The condo was clean, well decorated and the kitchen had just what we needed. The location is great, walking distance to so many attractions and close to public transportation as well.

Great Option

David provided a very professional experience. Location was great. Easy access to Capitol, transportation and Eastern Market. We had an issue with a clogged shower that was resolved quickly.

The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is that the kitchen was stocked with only a single small frying pan, the hair dryer was broken and the garbage access key was missing. I informed David of my disappointment and came to an agreement that I would purchase a new hair dryer and frying pan and he would reimburse. So, not a big deal, but minor inconvenience.

I think for the modern design and location, this is a fine option in DC. Thank you again David for providing a positive experience for our family while we stayed at your property.

Excellent location to tourist sites, restaurants & small grocery store.

We brought our 4 kids (14-21) for a family vacation and loved having a home base like this to come home to. It was easy finding a parking spot so having the pass was great. The place was very clean and we enjoyed having the outdoor sitting area in the evening. We'll definitely come back and will highly recommend it to our friends.
