This unit is on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution and each person will need to purchase an entrance ticket for the length of stay during the Chautauqua Season and any vehicles will need to be parked off-site.

The Colonnade Unit has a king bedroom, a second bedroom with two extra-long twin beds, and a third bedroom with a queen size bed. There are 2 full baths, one with a shower/tub combo and the other with an extra wide shower. The main porch is your area to enjoy with a grilling area to the side of the house. Sheets linens, towels and paper products are included. Cleaning at the end of your stay is included in the price. There is an additional 5% Chautauqua bed tax. This unit sleeps a maximum of six, children are included in the count.

We are a local family that has always wanted a home in the Chautauqua Institution, so we decided to have a wonderful home designed that would fit well in the beautifully unique Garden District on the grounds of the Chautauqua Institution

Lovely house

We found this home really clean, comfortable and welcoming. A good house for families, central to everything, nice appliances (including washer and dryer) and heating/cooling. Very clean and the homeowners were straightforward and easy to deal with. Good internet service, but very few channels available on the tv. There is a bit of a sense of lack of privacy in the main spaces as houses are close together and there are only sheer window coverings. Kitchen is quite well equipped although I couldn't find a tea kettle. Beds were very comfortable. Surrounding landscaping is beautiful. Overall, well appointed, great energy, clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed out stay!

Beautiful new home within walking distance of Bestor Plaza and the lake

The house is very nice and well furnished! We stayed in the first floor unit, which has three bedrooms, all with ceiling fans and comfortable beds, and two full bathrooms. The kitchen has new appliances, and plenty of plates, silverware, and cookware. It also has central air conditioning and ceiling fans in every room, a comfortable couch, and dining table that seats 6. It also has a beautiful front porch and nice landscaping. We enjoyed walking the Institution grounds and visiting Bestor Plaza - maybe a 10 minute walk (or less) from the house.

A few minor things contributed to rating it 4 stars (instead of 5). The house is near the fence that borders the road just outside the Institution grounds, which brought a little more road noise than a house closer to the lake. Some nearby homes under construction came with early morning noise and lots of vehicles blocking the road; however, it looked like they were nearing completion and might not be a factor for the next guests.

This property served our needs well and we enjoyed our stay here. We would recommend it! Thank you Steve and Jeanne - the house is very nice!
