Well positioned Victorian terrace family home overlooking Swanage, with easy walking access into town, or up on to the Purbeck hills and to coastal walks and good pubs.

Open plan, spacious ground floor kitchen, dining and living room area. One double bedroom, large twin room and large attic room with 2 single beds and 2 extra mattresses if needed. One shower room and separate toilet.

Access to pretty terraced garden down steps from kitchen through cellar. Garden furniture for al fresco dining!

About Carol Baines

The house has been in our family since the late 1980s when Rupert and his two brothers were teenagers. Now all 3 brothers have families who have grown up enjoying visits to the house and all the delights Swanage has to offer. The house now belongs to Rupert & Carol and their teenage sons Oscar and Ivan. We love our Swanage home and will be life long Dorset fans!

Very nice place

Great location - only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Swanage. A very useful convenience store is very close by and you are very close to the exit from Swanage, should you want to travel around the area by car. The cottage is a very good size for a family of 4, with a through lounge/diner to kitchen. There is a single toilet and a separate shower room. Wifi was fine and having the security box for the front door key is useful.

Parking can be a bit difficult as Swanage is a very busy tourist town and so many people park on priests road and walk into town, as it is so close. It's not an issue, but is worth a mention.

It was clean and everything worked perfectly, so everything was good for us.

Christmas in Swanage

Had a lovely stay at this very nice cottage which is much bigger than I expected. Short walk to the Town and Beach which we all needed after our Xmas feast. Would totally recommend.

Fantastic family home in great location

We had a wonderful time staying in this lovely, well equipped holiday home. There was absolutely everything you could need and plenty of space - the children loved the attic bedroom! The location was great, just 10 minutes from Swanage town centre and beaches. Would highly recommend this property and hope to come back one day!

Spacious and homely.

Only 10min walk from town centre and 5min walk to nearest convenience store. (Steep climb). Black swan pub (5mins away) serves excellent food at reasonable price.

Bathroom needs serious updating, which I guess is coming, but perfectly useable.

Would highly recommend and would stay again.

The house was clean and cosy and had everything we needed. Perfect!

36 Priests Road is just a short walk into Swanage and convenient for shops and restaurants. It is decorated simply and tastefully and had everything needed for our short stay away. The enclosed garden is a bonus and also the cellar with laundry facilities. The open plan living area is very spacious and is perfect for relaxing. The kitchen had everything we needed.

Upstairs the two bedrooms on the 1st floor were comfortable and although we didn't use the attic room, it looked lovely.

Having a keysafe at the front was really useful and gave us freedom to come back to the house i dividually if we needed to.

All in all a very pleasant stay and we would thoroughly recommend and we hope to come again.

Plenty to do for a week or two in the Summer.

Lots of wonderful cliff top walks and sea views from the house.

The steam train from Swanage to Corfe Castle is a wonderful day out.

Lots to do for young children, play farm, swimming pool, little fairground on the sea front.

North Beach is more peaceful than the town beach which has it's own seafront charms.

Studland National Trust beach and headland a short drive.

Lots of good restaurants and cafes in walking distance from the house.

Water based activities: diving, fishing, sailing, boat trips, sea kayaking, banana boat rides, the list goes on.

Great riding stables at Studland, golf course, tennis club - lots to keep you busy.
