Wow! This cottage is a little slice of heaven. It is beautifully appointed. The photos provided are beautiful, and the reality is so much more! The owner has gone to great care to create a true retreat on the lake. The interior displays some unique antiques. The kitchen is well stocked and was quite easy to cook a few meals in. The beds were very comfortable. Seating is ample -- there's a sunporch with a great reading chair.
The owner was wonderful. He was easy to make contact with and very responsive on the one or two qustions we had.
I would absolutely recommend this property. We plan on returning!
The cottage is actually more fabulous than the pictures portray. We were two older couples that stayed for a week during a recent family reunion. The bedrooms are opposite the living room, and each with their own bathrooms, so sharing was not an issue. The beds and the linens were exceptional quality and comfort. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. Robert, the owner was very welcoming and available. The cottage pretty much had everything we needed, so after the first day we were set. The house faces east so the late afternoon sunset filled the sunroom and living room with wonderful light at the end of each day. We enjoy cooking. The kitchen was stocked with all necessities. The Walmart is huge and we did almost daily runs there for food to prepare for dinner. No Whole Foods near by, so bring the saffron. The neighbors on the peninsula all seemed very friendly. You can rent jet skies or pontoon boats near the cottage. The lake fishing is good for bass and catfish. I would recommend this property in heart beat. A wonderfully quiet and peaceful escape.
Cozy cottage tastefully decorated and perfect size for a family of 5. The beds are very comfortable and linens, towels, and dishes are spotless. The owner has put in a lot of thoughts in decorating the house so everything seems to be effortless. Feels like a home away from home. Highly recommend it!
Nice location with a view of cove. Lots of trees and large patio with grill. Perfect place for 5 people to stay. If we had a question or needed something to be taken care of, the owner was readily available. Full size kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Boat launch is close by.
This little house is adorable. I was in love with the antiques that filled the house. The various amenities available to us should we have chosen to make use of them (washer/dryer, fridge, full kitchen, BBQ grill and deck) only made the cottage-like house feel like home away from home. Unfortunately, the black hairs on the comforter and on the sheets (dog hairs? Hopefully!) were an unwelcome addition. Bleh.
The owner takes great care to decorate this spotless, comfortable cottage with eye catching, eclectic pieces --from a stunningly crafted, hand-carved, mahogany armoire with a mid-century, big red fire truck atop in the master bedroom to other eye-catching, genuine antiques throughout. The facade and fiireplace are construced of river rocks which carry over into the master bathroom. Well appointed throughout. Expansive lawn with outdoor amenities backs up to a slender cove. Quiet. A real getaway.
