We arrived in Miami early in the morning on a Friday, and shopped around until around 1:30. We headed to the hotel to try and see if we could check in early. When we arrived at the hotel lobby, the front desk advised check in was 4PM. We let her know we booked with a private party and check in states 3PM. She then stated to come back around 3, and it should be good to go. We went back to check in this time around 4:30, and we passed some time shopping. The front desk lady was great and very friendly, however the people in the lobby were loud, obnoxious, and clearly all intoxicated. I am all about a good time, but I wasnt feeling this vibe. The front desk hands up the keys, and gives the instructions on how we could get to the condo. We go to the other side, where we had to take an elavator up. I already wasn't liking what I was seeing. The elevator was old and so trash everywhere. We get up to the floor, the elevator opens, and there is literally cigarette butts and trash all over the ground. We get the our room, open the door to find A COMPLETELY SHOCKING AND DISGUSTING SITE!!! The place was trashed!!! Nothing was touched or cleaned. You could tell that a huge party had gone down in that room, but days ago! There was old food left there with mold growing on it! It was so shocking and unbelievable. At this point, even if they cleaned, I wasn't going to stay there! We took pictures and headed back to the lobby. We told the front desk exactly what the room looked liked and she was very apologetic. She immediately called the home owner and got him on the phone. She advised him what the issue was. My husband requested to speak with him. He told the home owner what the room looked like and requested for the inconvenience a complete refund. The home owner agreed, however that wasn't the case! I sent him three emails following up and the only response I got was him asking for my address to send me the refund?? I then sent him back with the instructions from HomeAway on how to issue a refund to s purchaser. Still did not happen...after giving him some time I think went to the company to report the problem. I sent a statement along with the pictures of the room. I think had to file this dispute with my credit card company for the refund, and it's still under investagtion. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I WOULDN'T ADVISE ANYONE TO EVER STAY HERE!!!

Good location, but you get what you pay for.

The location was good. Walking distance to shopping, food and the beach. It is directly above the bars so it is loud all.night.long.

The unit itself was ok. Lots of light bulbs out, and the refrigerator was broken. We arrived on Thursday and were told it would be fixed on Friday. It never got fixed. The reason we used a rental like this was to save money on food because South Beach is so expensive. We didn't budget for this so it was very irritating. We were told we would get a refund but now, 3 weeks later I haven't seen anything.

Overall an ok property, but the owner doesn't seem to take it seriously.

Excellent location!

The location for South Beach couldn't be better. The beach is right across the street and restaurants everywhere. The unit needs a good deep clean, some new bed sheets and a mattress protector. I woke up with the sheets half way off and laying on the mattress. I didn't like that. The fridge was broke along with a fouton leg. We enjoyed the roof top pool. We also did not find it loud like a previous review had stated. Again location was great.

Overall the location was wonderful, However the fridge was broken which caused my cake for my anniversary to melt, also our drinks were very hot. the dishes although we brought out own very dirty with lipstick around the rim. I had to pay way to much for parking. Room could have been a little more cleaner. I purchased my own sheets to go on the bed because the condo sheets weren't clean.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately my fridge broke and I am in the process of replacing it. It takes a little time because it is not a standardized fridge, but one that has to be a little smaller. Sincerely - Cary Sontag
