Great location close to Mt Tahoma (Rainier) National Park and Crystal Moutain ski resort

  • 4 of 5

Great location on a beautiful lot with views to the river. The property has plenty of room for up to 10 people with 3 queen beds and two rooms more with bump beds. Living area is spacious and comfy, kitchen is a little small but functional. The outdoor areas are great with a perfect elevated deck with a gas bbq and then on the ground you can find an open fire pit, a covered fire pit close to the river for a relaxing night hangout and there is also an open wood-fire oven with a beautiful stoned chimney .

I gave it 4 stars because the house shows its age and needs some maintenance inside; little things which could make the house more appealing, not a biggie though.

Management was super responsive so in summary, a place I will come back for sure.

Beautiful setting - relaxing and homey!

We had a lovely weekend! Having the river both to explore and to simply enjoy the view was such a treat! The home was well furnished and comfortable. Easy access to many great hikes. We would stay here again in a minute!

Not up to my expectations.

  • 2 of 5

House in middle of upgrades so.no real heat downstairs where 3 bedrooms and a bathroom are. Space heaters kept tripping - shouldn't know where the circunit box in a rental is. Did work once we got the place heated but very unrelaxinice first few hours of my vacation.

Planned a ski vacation in private location with hot tub for after a day on the slopes but hot tub was not functioning. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

location great and if the heat and hot tub had worked this would be 5 stars.

Owner's Response: Lilaine, I hope the inconveniance refund we provided you for the hot tub helped in some way remedy an unfortunate situation that was beyond our control. You will be glad to know that after much effort we were able to find an electrician to finish the installation of the thermostat for the newly installed heated floors and we have had no issues with the circuit breaker tripping.

Great Location Needs A Little Updating

  • 4 of 5

This was a perfect spot for our get away retreat for the 5 senior leaders of our organization. Each one had their own room and the location was fantastic. It was a short walk to a river filled with Salmon swimming upstream surrounded by majestic mountains. Elk roamed freely around the surrounding area. A short drive puts you at the top of the mountains and the jump off place for hikers wanting to get a better glimpse of Mt. Rainer. The downstairs carpet was soiled and had a mildewed smell but otherwise the cabin was wonderful and well stocked for any vacation or getaway.

Great Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We went with a few of our friends during the summertime and really found this place perfect. The weather was amazing during our hikes around Mt. Rainier (a great place for sightseeing) and the gondola at Crystal Mountain was just as nice. There's a ton of stuff to do around the area, plus the chalet was roomy and situated right next to the river. I'd say the location was just perfect, feeling peaceful and secluded but not too far from the city.

One last thing, the chalet was absolutely stocked to the brim with books (I particularly liked the etiquette one~) and overall, the atmosphere was simply spectacular. One of the best vacations I've had recently.

Loved our stay

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four had a lovely time over Memorial Day weekend. Gorgeous hiking at nearby places, we went to Greenwater Lakes, Snoquera Falls. Also rode the gondola to the Summit House at Crystal MT for lunch one day.

The Chalet is well dialed in, everything we needed for cooking was there, the beds were comfy. The physical location is beautiful, right on the White River, close to Greenwater. We would definitely go back, maybe in the winter for a ski trip, possibly with another family or two, there were plenty of beds and space. Oh, and I almost forgot, The book collection sprinkled around the house was fantastic and full of great stories, guidebooks and interesting things to peruse. A charming and well-appointed place!
