The Twin Elks complex is located just off Ski Hill Road about 2 blocks from the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge. An easy walk will give you access to the numerous dining, shopping & nightlife Breck has to offer. Location is everything, and Twin Elk Condos are perfect for those wishing to spend their days on the mountain. Just hop a free shuttle up to Peak 8, just 100 feet away, & you'll be skiing/riding in no time! Make your way down the 4 O'Clock Run at the end of the day to land 400 feet from your doorstep.
Walk 100 feet to the free shuttle bus that runs every 20 minutes, to get you to the Peak 8 and 9 chairlifts. You can make your way to the highest chairlift in North America, the Imperial Chair, and ski down 3 1/2 miles back to the Gondola parking lot, and be 400 feet away from this condo.
Walk 1/2 block up Ski Hill Rd to the Lomax Placer Trail that connects to the 4 O'Clock Trail. At that point, you can cross walk across 4 O'Clock Rd and catch either of two easy trails alongside Sawmill Creek. From there it is a 3/4 mile hike to 4 O'Clock Reservoir. Or for the more adventurous, you can continue up the 4 O'Clock Trail and up to the top of 12,998 foot Peak 8 or connect to the many trails going up, over and along the peaks of the Ten Mile Range. Mountain bike up the 4 O'Clock Trail in the summer or ride a "comfort" bike on the 9 mile paved path alongside the Blue River. Walk 2 blocks to downtown Breckenridge's many restaurants and shops. Enjoy the 4th of July parade, river rafting on the mellow Blue River, the Breckenridge Pro Rodeo, and the National Repertory Orchestra concerts.
