About Robin Limerick
Our family has traveled far and wide, but we always reserve vacation dates for our very special 'Robin's Nest' to enjoy all Vermont has to offer.
Robin Limerick purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Robin Limerick chose Malletts Bay
'Robin's Nest' is a beloved family gathering spot for all ages and hopefully can be handed down for generations to come. It has gone from camp to cabin to slightly rustic cottage for all to enjoy in this special corner on earth. It is our home, when we are away from home!
What makes this Cabin unique

Very Clean, well furnished, and right beside the bike path. (Great location)
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The view of the Lake was outstanding. All utensils were in the kitchen and the bed slept very well. All linens in great shape.
So lovely, cozy, and convenient
We stayed at "Robin's Nest" in Aug. 2017 for a lovely vacation in Vermont. I really recommend this rental. It's in a great location, overlooking Mallets Bay in Colchester, a 15 min. or so drive north of Burlington. The property is small but was fine for the three of us (accommodates up to 4 people). The kitchen is laid out conveniently, with everything within easy reach. There's a living room, 1.5 baths (one with a stall shower), washer/dryer, and a screened-in porch with a view of the bay--my favorite place to hang out, read, eat, rest. The owners let us use their canoe to paddle around. The location is convenient for day trips, e.g., Ben and Jerry's in Waterbury, the Ethan Allen Homestead nearby, and Burlington, which has all sorts of things to do. From the backyard garden and Adirondack chairs to the well-stocked kitchen, it was a pleasure to spend our vacation here.
Exceptional vacation experience
A piece of heaven. Owner very accommodating . Simple and small with well furnished kitchen and comfortable furniture. The views from the porch were priceless . Close to vibrant bike path so excellent walking and biking. Neighbors were helpful and appeared to be a respectful neighborhood .
Thank you! We are always delighted when our guests appreciate our camp and views as much as we do.
Rustic and Charming Cottage in the Perfect Location
I'm a bit afraid of saying how much we loved this cottage because it may be booked the next time we want to come, but I have to give credit where it is due. Robin's Nest is cozy, comfy, and perfectly located. We spent most of our time there on the screened porch, staring at the water. The cottage is open and light, and the bedrooms and baths are more than sufficient for a summer visit. Linens and supplies were perfect. Robin is super helpful and communicative about plans for the stay. We can't wait to come back!
Robins robins everywhere!
We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay at Robin's nest. We are bird watchers, and the grassy shore just beyond Robin's porch offered us quite a view of incoming herons, osprey, egrets, red-wing black birds, kingfishers, and hundreds more birds. The cottage itself is well organized and the kitchen has everything you need. The beds are comfortable, and the living space, albeit small, is inviting. I recommend Robin's nest and look forward to returning to it again one day.
We arrived at 4 pm just after a rain storm and found the cabin cozy. We moved in an got some supper rested then went to bed. The next morning it was 51 inside the camp but from there it got hot at times the camp reached 88 inside. They had an air conditioner but it was not in a window and we did not know which one it would fit. There were lots of fans that we did use. We enjoyed our time on the porch. We went to the Hyde cabin on Grand Isle because Hyde was a distant Great great .. Uncle. We did a luncheon cruise, took the ferry out of Burlington when we left all recommended. Parking is a very big problem in Burlington. The last statement is about the water level. This is by no means the fault of the owners. I could suggest a dock that get you to the water without walking in the mud. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your cottage.
Nearby Burlington - It's a college town with plenty of bars and restaurants and farmers markets! Bike path conveniently located to the cottage. Shelburne Museum a must see! Hiking and lake activities abound.
