A Private Piece Of Paradise With A Private Beach And Lighted Fishing Pier.

Bedrooms 1
Space 500 sq. ft.
Property type bungalow
Minimum Stay 2 nights

About the property

Bungalow #1 At Magnolia Beach, Tx. Limit 4.

Magnolia Beach Bungalow #1 is simply a small piece of paradise sporting a PRIVATE beach, access road and lighted fishing pier (lost in Harvey... will be rebuilt soon). We have a total of four bungalows for your enjoyment. Three of our bungalows will fit up to four people. They have Queen size beds and the most up - to - date futons which turn into a full size bed.

We have a special adult bungalow just for two or the romantic couple that still desire the fishing life, listening to the waves and spending some special time together.

Our bungalow numbers are 607955, 702157, 701938 and 701926. All Bungalows are furnished with a full kitchen, Dish TV and free Wi-Fi. Sorry, the calendar only reflects one Bungalow rental. We've been round and round about that with VRBO.

Absolutely breathtaking sunrises and sunsets are a daily occurrence. Especially, viewing from the hammocks beneath the beach cabana. So, load up your fishing poles and come experience a piece of paradise for yourself. Limited to 4 please. The Bungalows were built and designed with an open area concept. The queen size bed is in the rear with a superior full size futon in front of the 32" TV.

The kitchen has a full size fridge (with ice maker), range/stove and sink. A full size microwave is mounted above the stove. The floors have a beautifully stained concrete finish that shines like glass. The bathrooms have hand-tiled showers which are exceptionally clean and refreshing.

This is a very historic area with literature in the bungalow detailing its' inception. Wanna go deep sea fishing? We can hook you up with one of our local fishing guides for either 1/2 day or all day! Offshore or Bay fishing - we have both!

There is a local boat ramp about 1/2 mile from the Bungalow and you're more than welcome to park your trailer here (plenty of room with 2 acres) and dock at our pier.

Kayaking is very popular in the area as well.

Magnolia Beach has J&T's convenience store (with the Saltwater Saloon in the rear!! Pool, shuffleboard, games and a jukebox with a live band every now and then) just a couple of minutes from the Bungalows. Great burgers, pizza and super cold beer!

Everything ya need for a day at the beach! Great place to go cool off, too, after a hot day fishing on the beach!

On the other end of the beach, we have the Indianola Fishing Marina... which has a large deck in back to fish on all night if you'd like. Live bait here! Boat ramp there to accommodate the big boats. Good seafood menu, steaks, and lots of cold beer! They normally have a live band every weekend.

Not many folks know about Magnolia Beach. But, once they have been here, they always return. The Bungalows were completed in 2012 on a prime location and the owner also lives on the property. It's a little bit "higher end" than most beach cabins, but, still costs less than most hotels. There will be a cold six-pack or a bottle of wine waiting on you when you get here... just let us know when you book a bungalow. Compliments of the Bungalows, as are the chips and crackers on the cabinet!!!

We have a (20x20) Pergola in back of the Bungalows furnished with gas grills, a picnic table/chairs and a BBQ-pit - gas/charcoal (on the way to the beach). Good to go! Also, we have laundry facilities for guests who get a little wet or sandy, too!

There's everything you need for a perfect getaway, right here! Give owners Megan or Lynn a call at (361) 218-0089 or (651) 366-1422 and we'll fix you right up!

About Lynn Parsons

Hi! We're the cool chicks who live in the big house behind the Bungalows. Yep, we're the owners. We bought this 1.8 acres in 2006 and completed the construction on the Bungalows late 2012. Our family consists of us and 4 dogs. We have an Aussie named Reina, a mini Doxie named L.T., a German Shepherd/Heeler cross named Sierra and a Springer Spaniel named Ryder. Oh, almost forgot Pancho, the Macaw, who lives under the large grapefruit tree. You'll hear him!!

Megan was raised in Port Lavaca, but left in 1980 after High School. She's a Civil Engineer (yes, an Aggie) for Testengeer Engineering, in Port Lavaca. Lynn is retired from the USPS, and is originally from Minnesota. She received a degree from the University of Minnesota in Liberal Arts. She is currently acting as manager of the Bungalows and our paradise.

Lynn Parsons purchased this bungalow in 2012

Why Lynn Parsons chose Gulf Coast

Came back home and wanted people to enjoy the piece of paradise that I had. The bungalows will make you want to find your own property and live here.

What makes this bungalow unique

You just can't beat living on the water. Plus, we've got the happiest dogs and bird in the world! Lynn and I will strive to make you the happiest guests, too! BBQing under the pergola on the new pit, water right there, visiting and just relaxing. Breathe it all in.

A last minute trip couldn't have been more perfect! This cozy cottage had all the comforts needed and beautiful waterfront scenery that was spectacular!

A true hidden gem! We will definitely be back to take in the sun , do some great fishing and retreat to the comfort of the privacy we needed!

Thank you for your hospitality and making us feel at home!

Great property with great owners

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay. The property is very well maintained and secluded. Very little traffic around bungalows. The pier and beach are great assets. We were fortunate enough to be the only renters on the property and had the pier and beach to ourselves. The owners are very respectful of their renters. We could not have asked for anything better for our family of four. Cabins are very clean, well arranged, great amenities, and well built. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much, Lynn and Megan. The McBride's.

Totally needed it!!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed for a few days to get away for our 25th anniversary. We were very pleased! It was very relaxing and peaceful atmosphere. We fished on private pier at night. Walked on the beach....felt like we had the place to ourselves! Owner and manager were incredibly nice people!! Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Hidden gem with beautiful grounds

  • 4 of 5

Was concerned about sizing for 4 adults, but it fit everyone comfortably. The property owners are very friendly . They take the time to come and interact with you to make you feel at home. They even offered us an air mattress if we needed one. The bungalows come with everything you need. Fridge, stove, microwave, dishes, towels, extra blankets. There is a pit that is both gas and charcoal that you can use. Don't worry about dirty close either because there is a washer on site. The owners have dogs , but there is a fence that separates you from them if you are not a dog person. Head down to the private pier for great views of the sun rise and sun set on the water. The fishing is good at night between 11PM and 3AM on the lighted pier. We caught plenty of trout on lures. If fishing is not your thing, there are a couple of hammocks that you can lay in to take in the beautiful views. I would recommend this place for both the fishermen and non fishermen alike. Thank you Lynn and Megan for a wonderful stay.

Very quiet get-away

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our quiet trip to Magnolia Beach. Our host, Lynn, was great and gave us a personal tour. The arrival and check-in process was seamless. The cottage is very clean, comfortable, and charming. One of our favorite things was the lack of light pollution, and we grooved to the star-gazing. My husband enjoyed fishing from the private dock. Be aware that the cottages are on the road and there is a bit of a walk to the bay and pier, so take a flashlight if you're planning to walk down to the lighted pier to night fish. We appreciated that there were not a lot of lights so that we could see the stars well.

Rates & Availability

Taxes and fees are additional

Additional information about rental rates

There is a Terms and Conditions sheet in the Bungalow outlining all of the additional terms. I'm pretty easy going, i.e., there isn't really any check in time. Just c'mon when you get loose. There really isn't a check out time, per say. Lots of folks decide to stay an additional night longer than they originally planned just because of the relaxation and wonderful atmosphere around here.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

100% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
