About Daniel Burton
Two easy going guys who love the laid back neighborhood and like to have a little fun ... and hope that you will too. We're five years in Nola and feel like locals already. We're architects who work hard, play hard and appreciate the local architecture, music, art and food.
Why Daniel Burton chose Bywater
IT'S BIG and it's a shotgun. Besides 3 bedrooms, it has a fully stocked kithen with a dining table and a living room. It sleeps 6 in real beds, plus at least 2 more on the sofa and air mattresses that we provide. (Sometimes both sides of the double are even available.) The bathroom is small, but has a clawfoot tub/shower.
What makes this House unique

Beautiful home, perfect neighborhood!
With a big group, this neighborhood was fun to explore, had plenty of bars and restaurants, and was perfectly walkable to the French Quarter. The house was spacious enough for our group of 8 and we loved hanging out in the backyard. Couldn't recommend this place more!
Nicely appointed, clean home in fun neighborhood.
We used the old bikes for easy access to/from jazz fest. Fun places to eat in easy walking distance. Loved our stay in Bywater.
Beautiful, incredibly located shotgun style house!
I visited New Orleans with 5 friends for my birthday (we are all teachers on Spring Break). I feel like this home could not have been more perfect or in a more wonderful location! We had reservations at the Country Club on our first morning, which happened to be across the street. We ended up going back again because we loved it so much. We were able to walk to breakfast spots, coffee shops, the food co-op and to music venues. When we needed to, we took lyft to the French Quarter and other areas of the city and it was usually $10 - $15 to get most places. The house itself is beautiful. The layout is typical shotgun style (you walk through the bedrooms to get the common areas of the house). This was a little odd at first (but is the typical style in NOLA) and we got used to it. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked and the back patio was lovely (and there's a washer/dryer). The owners were responsive to messages and text both before our trip and during. They were fantastic hosts! We also stayed at their Treme house and loved it. I could not have asked for a better place to stay for my birthday and my first trip to New Orleans.
Loved hosting and meeting you Abby! Thank you for the kind words. You and your friends were awesome!
Bachelorette Party Weekend
I threw my best friend a bachelorette party and we used this place as home base. It was beautiful and spacious. The owners couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. We're from New Orleans, but we wanted to stay somewhere in the Bywater so we could walk to specific venues. This house is located in a wonderful neighborhood and is in walking distance to so many fun and interesting places. We walked to brunch, bars, breweries and parades. It was much cheaper than getting a hotel and homier than any hotel could have been. I highly recommend this place. You won't regret it!
House was adorable! Comfortable beds, lots of room for 4 people and a dog, hot shower, great back patio area. Located in an arty, hipster neighborhood that was fun to explore.
The bikes the owners left for us to use were key - only a 5 minute bike ride to the French Quarter, 10 minutes to the heart of everything New Orleans. We didn't use the car the whole 5 days.
Bywater home away from home
This property is in a wonderful location and is well appointed with comfortable beds and furnishings. The space was very clean and Jonathan was promptly responsive to all my inquiries.
There are several cool restaurants, bars, coffee shops within a few blocks and Frenchman is about a 10 min walk.
Highly recommended without reservation!
