Casa A.J. K0049 - Casa A.J. is the ultimate luxury vacation home, ideal for you and a large group, with plenty of space both inside and out to comfortably house a dozen people in a desert paradise. With two living rooms, five bedrooms, and a den spread out over 3,200 square feet, as well as an expansive backyard, you’ll have all the room you need to enjoy each other’s company or to relax on your own.
The front yard welcomes you with a desert landscape of cactus and palms, and as you open the front door you are greeted with a grand living room and dining room, perfect for entertaining guests with enough seating for a small crowd. Lining the walls are vintage postcards of Palm Springs, as well as mid-century furnishings. Gather around the gas lit fireplace as you watch your favorite movie on a 55-inch HDTV in the family room just around the corner. You can munch on your pancakes while seated at the breakfast bar and table or step out to the back patio and pool through the sliding door to catch the desert breeze.
From the kitchen you step into the den with a game table to gather around, a Queen size sleeper sofa for extra guests, and a door to the backyard. Just past the den is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and a Cal King bed, as well as a guest bedroom with two Twins.
On the other side of the house is three more bedrooms and two bathrooms. The other master suite has its own Cal-King bed and en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The remaining two bedrooms have Queen size beds, and one has access to its own private patio. Every bedroom has brand new comfy linens and 40-inch HDTV’s. Chromecast and a mobile Bose sound system are also available.
The big backyard is surrounded by mature bougainvillea and jasmine plants to preserve your privacy while you and your guests relax, swim and play. There is also a barbecue grill, a covered patio and dining seating for twelve outside, so you can enjoy dinner al fresco with the refreshing desert breeze. The recently renovated saltwater swimming pool also houses an eight person spa and twenty foot tanning shelf for you to use the desert’s relaxing atmosphere however you wish. There is also a firepit with a number of lounge chairs around to converse over the fire. All of this in one place, with a great view of the San Jacinto Mountains to the West.
Just a short distance from downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs airport, you are in the heart of the desert. Book the perfect getaway at Casa AJ for you and your friends!

We had a wonderful stay over New Years with a group of friends and family. The property is beautiful, very well-maintained, and well stocked for a large group. There was plenty of space for 12 adults to sleep and hangout. The pool and outdoor area are perfect for the Palm Springs weather. Would recommend to anyone and definitely come back!
Our family rented CasaAJ for Thanksgiving 2016. We are a family of 8 adults and 3 children, so we thought that the amenities that this house has to offer would suit our needs well. The issue we faced is that the photos and description of this place were somewhat misleading. I am posting this feedback to ensure that others do not face the same challenges that we did.
First of all...the kitchen. The photos make this place look like it's equipped with a fairly modern kitchen. While it appears the owners have done a few updates (namely the counters), everything else in this kitchen appears to be at least a few decades old. The oven is very small and does not appear to be properly ventilated...the cabinets and and handles above the oven were extremely hot to the touch, which made us very nervous. We also found that the oven did not work properly and usually took much longer to cook than a properly functioning oven.
The bedrooms were also similarly disappointing. The photos make them look modern and immaculate. In truth, the beds are lumpy and very uncomfortable. The carpeting appears to be at least a few decades old. All of the windows are original and not all of them opened.
We also had trouble with the pool. The heater is hard to use and at one point it heated up the pool to hot tub temperatures. After this incident, the pool heater broke and we had to call for a repair. To their credit, they did send someone over quickly and the pool was fixed the same day.
We spent a lot of money on this house, given that it was Thanksgiving week. Rather than have a luxurious oasis for our family vacation, we had to make do with suboptimal conditions. I am writing this review to ensure that no one else ends up the same situation unknowingly.
