About Karen Bartlett
I have been in the real estate industry since 2005. My background in design has been instrumental with the design and interior décor for many vacation rental homes. It is a pleasure to work with many vacationers visiting the area. The outdoor recreational activities offered by area are unparalleled. Your favorite could be hiking, biking, rafting, kayaking, fishing on one of the local streams, rivers, or Fontana Lake. The area offers the outdoor enthusiast their own playground. I look forward to hearing about your experience here in the Great Smoky Mountains!

We call it home!
We really enjoyed it. This is our second stay here in the past few months and haven't regretted one moment. We will be back...
Nice. Secluded in the mountain.
Our first trip to the mountains. We made sure we were back to the cabin before dark or before rain. We didn’t want to drive the roads in the dark.
Bear Paws Weekend Visit
This cabin was incredibly nice. It's compact, super cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. It was located at about the halfway point between our two major destinations for this visit (NOC and Bryson City). Everything was well maintained and clean. Would book this cabin again.
Best Vacation Cabin Ever!
Bear Paws Cabin was fabulous, more than we expected really. I’ve stayed in a number of cabins over the years, and even the nice ones were more rustic than anything, but Bear Paws Cabin was luxurious. From the new deck and pergola now housing the hot tub, to the patio and fire pit, to the full sized kitchen and bath, and beautiful bedroom, we were very pleased. Check in was super easy, and although it’s a bit “back in there” we followed the directions and had no trouble finding it. Bryson City was an easy drive away, and had many cute shops and good restaurants. We rode the Great Smoky Mountain Railway to the Nantahala Outdoor Center and back to Bryson City. We drove to Clingman’s Dome (Spectacular!) by way of Cherokee, saw elk in the National Forest, and had many other adventures. After a day of exploring we would return to Bear Paws Cabin and sit by the fire or soak in the hot tub. Wonderful base camp for a wonderful vacation. We hope to return next year.
Perfect for us
We loved the cabin. It was perfect for us. Small, clean, pretty, and peaceful. The decor was nice. The area was quiet. We didn't get to use the fire pit only because we weren't at the cabin much and only stayed 2 nights. Everything was clean. The guestbook was a helpful touch and guided us to some fun hikes. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay again.
The water in the hot tub was a little low, but we still used it. We didn't have our SUV so driving into the property vicinity was a little scary, but our car made it with no issues. :)
Very Enjoyable Getaway
Overall had a great time, great location and cute little cabin. Great for a couples retreat to get away from the everyday stress of life. No Mountain View at cabin if you’re looking for one, this cabin is in the woods. Wish it hadn’t been promoted as having cable, you get Netflix. Need to think about putting a second mirror in the cabin. The mirror in the bathroom is very small and when two people are trying to get ready, two mirrors would have helped. Loved the outdoor setup. Very clean and beautiful cabin.
