About the property

3 bedroom, 2 bath fully updated beachfront home.

Welcome to our luxury 'Cabin' on Kokanee Cove!

Located on one of the most exclusive private lanes on Lake Sammamish and surrounded by large mansions, this original home has been elegantly restored from top to bottom to retain the charm of a bygone era. Professionally and meticulously maintained, our desire is simple...to share this amazing property with you and to provide the absolute finest travel experience imaginable.

The property is located within an easy 30 minute drive to Seattle, 18 minutes to world class shopping in Bellevue, 15 minutes to over 100 renowned wineries/wine tasting venues in Woodinville, and just 5 minutes to Whole Foods, and a host of local amenities and restaurants.

Enjoy first class touches such as indoor/outdoor designer furniture, new hot tub, the finest bedding and linens, state-of-the-art electronics, and historical and original art.

The home has 1600 square feet of interior living space all on one level and has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. (One bath adjoins a bedroom) The new kitchen is fully stocked for any gourmet in-home cooked meal. The home comfortably accommodates 8 with the recent addition of the finest sleeper sofa money can buy. During the cooler months, cozy up and enjoy a crackling fire in the extra large 17' x 22' Great Room, complete with an Adirondack lodge-style stone fireplace. Put your feet up and simply soak in the views. Our guests l-o-v-e this room!

If you crave adventure, the lake is literally 20 steps from your back doorstep. Swim, ski, or paddle to your heart's content. If you are a cycling enthusiast, enjoy our PRIVATE access to the new E. Lake Sammamish Trail. Hop on the trail and have instant access to over 75 miles of fantastic cycling all the way into Seattle via the Burke-Gilman Trail or directly to Woodinville Wine Country via the Sammamish River Tail. Or, just take a leisurely walk and enjoy the beauty along the lake.

We focus on your privacy...which is why celebrity and professional athletes alike have enjoyed their stay here. There are numerous places on the property to 'escape' and enjoy the silence all around you. We're on the 'quiet' end of the lake for breathtaking and serene sunsets...all in complete privacy.

Morning coffee on the deck is the perfect venue for capturing the essence of your surroundings. The sheer beauty of quiet lakeside living, will mesmerize you....including the amazing sights and sounds of various waterfowl, including the two eagles that perch almost every spring and summer morning from our lakeside Cottonwood tree.

Evening brings another magical time on the lake with beautiful sunsets, the occasional trout rising, the ever-changing colors, and a large beachfront fire pit for fireside chats or roasting marshmallows.

The separate outdoor dining pavilion offers a shady retreat in the warmer moths to relax, view the lake and nearby gardens, or for those romantic evening meals. We've even planted two raised-bed organic vegetable/herb gardens exclusively for our guests to use for their cooking needs!

The exterior grounds are surrounded by majestic trees for maximum privacy, including the largest Yellow Tulip Poplar tree in our entire region. (Almost 7' in diameter, and considered a 'Heritage Tree' by local arborists).

We're equipped with high speed internet, Adirondack chairs and life jackets. During the peak season, you are welcome to enjoy and explore the lake via two stand-up paddle boards. (Great for core' workouts on the water!) For cycling on the Trail, there are 4 new (and hip!) Beach Cruiser bikes for your enjoyment.

The owners and manager have lived in the area for several decades, and we take pride in sharing our local knowledge and connections to enhance your stay.

Cheers! We look forward to hearing from you!

About Karen

We love finding very unique properties and transforming them into places that are casually elegant, yet feel warm and inviting to our guests. We originally lived on Lake Sammamish 30+ years ago and thoroughly enjoyed the family atmosphere and recreational experiences the lake offered. We LOVE to share with others and to make old and new friends alike feel special by serving them with an element of gracious hospitality. We warmly welcome you to this home through Karen, our amazingly dedicated and guest-oriented property manager. She will take care of your reservations, greet you upon your arrive with keys and quick tour of the home, provide recommendations for restaurants & activities in the area and take care of any special requests to help make your stay a memorable occasion.

Karen purchased this house in 2013

Why Karen chose Puget Sound North

Prior to our purchase, this property remained in the same family for over 62 years. Within 24 hours of being listed for sale in late 2013, there were multiple offers from buyers who wanted to tear down the original house and replace it with a mega-mansion, which the property could easily support. When viewing the property for the first time, we immediately felt like we were transported back to a simpler era. Due to this powerful feeling, we informed the Seller if our offer was accepted, we would maintain the legacy his family began and keep the home intact. Our offer was accepted and now it's our turn to share this beautiful place. New stories are ready to be told and memories made. We are so grateful for the possibility to share this property with you.

What makes this house unique

Amazingly convenient location, total privacy, direct, (and private) access to E. Lake Sammamish Trail, (Cycling and walking), beautiful sandy beach, abundant waterfowl and eagle viewing, numerous outdoor 'retreat' spaces, towering trees and lovely gardens, breathtaking sunsets, covered porch, expansive outdoor deck, warm summer water temps and crystal clear water, private outdoor dining pavilion, solitude, spotless, all new fixtures and appliances, designer furniture and bedding. Plus, Karen, the most gracious and caring property manager that you will EVER encounter.

Wonderful Lake Cabin Get Away

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week with 2 other couples at the Lakehouse. We enjoyed swimming in the lake, biking and some hiking. The house had great accommodations and we had a fantastic time.

We appreciated all the extras and small touches which were provided such as fresh flowers, wine, crackers, and the makings for smores.

We cant wait to return. Michelle and Garrett

Wonderful Family Vacation on the Lake

  • 5 of 5

We had the best time here on our spring break vacation. The house is beautiful, with everything you could need. Our kids played in the water and fed the ducks. The weather was incredible with sunny, warm days. We rode bikes and walked the trail. Karen was wonderful and she is a huge part of why our vacation was so great (personally meeting us at the house, providing treats for when we arrived, and calling to check in with us). I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a place to stay on Lake Sammamish.

The Perfect Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The Cabin at Kokanee Cove is the ideal setting for a private family retreat. The house is appointed with unique decorative details that make you feel so comfortable you can't help but to relax. From the soft bedding to the lakeside motif to the extra care to have a fire prepped in the river rock wood burning fireplace, to the labeling making it easy to find everything you need, this house and property manager have gone above and beyond. And if that weren't enough, the grounds are exceptional as well. There are several covered gathering areas, a fire-pit with wood, a hot tub, a huge deck and the views of the lake are just breathtaking; be sure to watch for the abundant wildlife such as otters, cranes and bald eagles. They also have a variety of equipment available such as bikes, paddle boards and fishing rods if you're wanting to play while there. If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful experience, this is the place to be.

Awesome Family Vacation at Lake

  • 5 of 5

Kokanee Cove is a great place for family fun! The lake setting is beautiful, as we observed bald eagles, osprey and fish. The outdoor living areas including upper porch (with covered areas), jacuzzi, covered outdoor dining area, and lakeside seating with fire pit allowed us to take full advantage of this setting, and the paddleboards and rowboat were a real plus. The indoors living areas are also super inviting with a beautiful living room, nice dining area and remodeled kitchen. The proximity to the trail makes for super convenient biking and walking. As other reviewers note, Karen went out of her way to make us feel at home! Overall, highly recommended!

4th of July family vacation

  • 5 of 5

What a fantastic spot to spend a week away... Karen made everything so easy and left us groceries in the refrigerator and a bottle of wine to start our trip.

This house is newly remodeled, fully stocked with linens, soap, etc. that you will need for your trip.

If we are ever staying in the Seattle area again, we will definitely stay here...

You will find absolutely nothing to complain about when you stay here... Everything was 1st class...

Lake Sammamish Trail, this property is just 30 minutes to D/T Seattle, 20 minutes to world class shopping at Bellevue Square, and 15 minutes to over 100 wineries/wine tasting venues in the serene Woodinville Wine Country and a fantastic array of restaurants. Cycle to Marymoor Park and link up to the Burke-Gilman Trail and ride all the way into and around Seattle via Lake Washington or other routes; Get acquainted with Seattle via ferry, the famous Pike Place Market; hike up nearby Tiger Mountain (via the 'Cable Line' route if you are fit and adventurous!); take a drive to Mt. Rainier, or simply hang out at The Cabin and do nothing but relax, swim, take Zelda out for a row for fun or Smallmouth Bass fishing, check out the eagle that perches in the Cottonwood on the property, or just listen to the soothing rhythm of the waves on the sand. It's all good.
