Downtown Anchorage is a short 25 min drive away, if you need to get back in touch with civilization!
I am a Lieutenant in the USAF ANG and am a pilot of a C-17 aircraft. I love Alaska and living in the mountains. I am eager for you to experience some of the same things I love to do!
Zach Roberts/ Monica Roberts purchased this lodge in 2013
This lodge is right in the mountains, I can hike, mountain climb and ski right out my door. It is incredibly scenic and peaceful. Wildlife abounds--and I can still drive to work in less than 15 minutes, downtown Anchorage in 20-25!
This lodge is an authentic Alaskan log home, made with local timber. It is rustic and cozy, with all the amenities you could want!
Myself and three members of my family stayed at this lodge for a week. The drive to the lodge is fantastic, you really get out of the city! There are so many beautiful homes near the lodge along with hiking trails. There were lots of berry bushes to pick during our stay - there is a berry book at the house so you know which are edible! Also a hiking book that includes all the local hikes. The house is very comfortable and well stocked with anything you might need. The hosts go above and beyond with what you would expect at a rental, I highly recommend this place. If I am ever in the area again, this would be my first choice. Thank you!
This is the place for Memories. First time in Alaska and this place brings the Mountains and puts them right in your lap.
Your own mountain lodge, 4 star quality with all the amenities. If you want a real Alaskan adventure with all the comforts.
Zach Roberts has planed it out perfect.
Zach and Monica have set this up so well that all they had to do was make sure we found the place,
showed us how to use the front door key, point at the mountains all around this place, and tell us to take a deep breathe.
This home sets at the end of a 12 min drive from the frwy down a winding road in a great neighborhood , so essential planning is key. but well worth the
Great host and a Great place
Great hospitality, clean, up to date!! Great location
The property and especially the host, Zach, were terrific! We found it exactly as described and the lodge was spotless and incredibly well-maintained. Zach was very responsive before, during, and after our stay. What a great location - a remote-like and very mountain setting but still close enough to get to city amenities in 20 minutes. Serves as a great jumping-off point for daily excursions all around the 49th state. This was a bucket list vacation for our family and this exceeded our expectations. Hopefully we can return again some day. Highly recommended!!!
Beautiful house in a spectacular setting. Love the deck, the décor, and of course, the hot tub! This home has everything you need to live comfortably away from home for a week or two. Our host Zach was very helpful.
First family vacation to Alaska and we couldn’t have found a better place to stay. The house had everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable with plenty of room for the seven of us (4 adults, 2 teenagers, and 1 preteen.). Tucked 9 miles off Highway 1, it felt like we had the entire valley to ourselves. In the mornings, it was great to sit on the back porch with a cup of coffee enjoying the scenery, including the occasional bald eagles flying overhead and moose grazing in the back yard. But, we were close enough to several trailheads, Carr’s grocery, Walmart, and downtown Anchorage. Plus, it was a good central location for day trips to places like Girdwood, Seward, Talkeetna, and Denali State Park.
Zach was great to deal with before, during, and after our stay and promptly answered any questions we had. We highly recommend Harp Mountain lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.
Harp Mountain Lodge is located in the heart of the Chugach Mountains in breath-takingly beautiful Eagle River, Alaska. Outdoor activities are limitless--all seasons of the year! Expect to see bears, moose, eagles, wild sheep and goats in summer, some walking right past the lodge! Mountain hiking, climbing and biking, as well as winter back country skiing is literally at your front door. Anchorage is a short drive away, for shopping, dining nightlife and cultural activities.
