Lovely and peaceful

  • 4 of 5

The home was beautiful and functional. Great for a large group of family that was gathering for a memorial service in the area. The nice part about the house is that it had plenty of eating space and room for family to visit. Also they had lots of beds for sleeping. However there were only two actual bedrooms and only two bathrooms. All the sleeping areas are upstairs.

If you are looking to rent this home, I recommend that you bring your own bedding and take it with you upon departure. I wasn't informed that we had to wash our own sheets prior to leaving (for 14 beds that took several hours!) Plus, we paid a substantial cleaning fee as well as a refundable deposit. Steep fees for the amount of cleaning required upon departure. Of course, I fully expected to leave things clean and tidy...but 6 hours of laundry is not my idea of a "vacation" rental policy. In spite of that, I would recommend renting the home, just be aware. I do believe this should be communicated in the listing.

The most beautiful place in Trout Lake!

  • 5 of 5

The perfect place for large parties. We had 14 attending a local wedding. The walls are so thick the peace and quiet when you need to find it is great. Beds are very comfortable, kitchen is well supplied and the wrap around porch is a great place to hang out with beautiful views. Definitely would stay there again!

Beautiful home. Huge

  • 4 of 5

We visited Trout Lake for a wedding and rented this house with several of the other wedding guests. It was super close and convenient. The house is huge but only has two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. If you are up and down all night this can be inconvenient.

Gorgeous house, gorgeous view, overall 5 star experience

  • 5 of 5

This house was beautiful, spacious, and very accommodating to our needs. We came with a group of 6 people, and one more joined half way to make it 7.

The house was easily able to sleep 7 people. Any of our questions were immediately answered by management.

The location of the house is perfect if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The house is located in the countryside, and has a spectacular view of mount hood from the porch that we loved viewing every day. Right beside/behind the house is Mt. Adams. You are much closer to Mt. Adams but need to drive a minute down the road to actually see it. Both mountains are breathtaking to see.

Would love to come to this house again hopefully in the near future!

This is indeed a gorgeous home!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely old ranch house! The home is tastefully and beautifully restored, using lovely wood and traditional design. It was comfortable and accommodating. We found everything we could need to cook large meals for our group of eight. We particularly enjoyed sitting around the gas fire in the evening and relaxing on the wrap-around porch admiring the spectacular view of the Valley and Mt. Hood. Thank you for sharing your lovely old home. We will definitely return!
