Blue Dreams Villa is managed by us, the owners! The biggest and best difference between renting with us and a Point Pleasant Resort managed unit is that we’re able to focus on just one rental at a time – YOURS! We can also GUARANTEE that THIS is the property you'll get when you arrive, no matter how long you stay. Please keep in mind that all units on Point Pleasant are independently owned so no two are alike. With our location, layout, renovation, and furnishings we strongly feel we're competitively priced and a great value, and we hope you think so too!

We realize the Resort currently provides off-site taxi transportation for their guests; however, as our guest you'll have access to hire an exclusive personal driver with over thirty years experience and rates that are competitive with taxis but with much better customer service and white glove treatment. He only works with our guests which means he's always available on an on-call basis, and his reviews are exceptional. If you're worried about driving on the left-hand side of the road, then forgo a rental car and hire our exclusive driver, and save money as well!

When creating your vacation rental, our goal was to provide you with a luxurious but comfortable rental villa, and we’ve taken great care to create a relaxing environment where you can feel completely at home with decorative touches, high-end furnishings, luxurious linens, commercial grade patio furniture, a fully equipped kitchen…all the conveniences and feel of home and maybe even more!

Since we only have one unit to focus on, it’s easy to maintain our high standards and make sure everything will be in order for you upon arrival to ensure a delightful experience during your stay. Our guests have thanked us over and over for the helpful and timely customer service that we’re happy to provide both before your arrival and during your stay; in fact, they often say we go “above and beyond!” Since we’ve created such a high quality guest experience, the onsite resort management company asked us to include our villa in their “Executive Villa” program, and while we are appreciative of the compliment we prefer to manage our villa ourselves because we truly enjoy interacting with our guests and hearing that what we’ve created has made an impact on their lives.

We’ve spent a lot of time on St. Thomas exploring the island to discover the hidden gems, trying a multitude of restaurants to find those we can personally recommend, and going on excursions to seek out those that offer our guests the best experience, excellent value and customer service so we can be your personal concierge and share our findings with you!

We’re also happy to provide items for your exclusive personal use that aren’t shared with the guests of dozens of villas participating in the Point Pleasant Resort rental pool, among which are complimentary use of your own snorkel gear, spa beach towels, beach chairs, coolers, pool floats, and yoga mats and CDs during your stay. Regardless, just like everyone else on the resort you'll have access to all three pools, the beach, restaurant, and on-site shuttle service.

The Resort charges their guests a Resort Fee, but why pay for things you have no intention of using and feeling like you're stuck from going elsewhere since since you've already paid for them? As our guest you'll feel you have the flexibility of checking out the water activities available at locations all around the island and explore numerous different beaches and experience more of what St. Thomas and St. John have to offer!

Since April 2014 we spent almost three months renovating and replacing everything in our villa so it’s practically brand new! You’ve probably seen other villas for rent at Point Pleasant Resort as well as other resorts on St. Thomas, but I’d like to point out all the things we have to offer that makes us UNIQUE (other units may have some of these things, but we have them ALL!). Our villa has:

• An on-island representative, Beverly Goodwine (Owner/Manager of Point Wellness) available for your assistance if the Owners can't be reached

• Access to an exclusive private driver with incredibly reasonable rates for off-site transportation

• Been totally renovated in June 2014 so EVERYTHING is new! (over $60k renovation)

• Is located on “The Hilltop” and catches the trade wind breeze so you don’t need the air conditioner as often, and the view is to die for!

About Robin Hurley

David and I have been married for 18 years and currently live in Edmond, OK but plan on relocating to St. Thomas in a few years. It’s just the two of us, no kids, because by the time we got married, travelled and just had fun together, we decided it was too late so we’re that couple that our friends want to ask us to babysit or adopt us as their kids’ Aunt and Uncle, but we foster rescue dogs for the Central Oklahoma Humane Society instead!

David grew up in Cincinnati, OH and moved to Oklahoma in 1985 with the US Air Force. Shortly after arriving he learned how to windsurf and his love of sailing was born. When he later bought a 14’ hobie cat, I quickly became hooked on the thrill of “riding the hull” and MY love of sailing began. We took our first sailing charter in the Virgin Islands in 2003 on the Ayacanora and absolutely fell in love with the Virgin Islands and have been back many times since then.

In 2009 we started our own sailing charter business on Lake Hefner in OKC and have welcomed more than 1500 guests aboard. This experience has honed our skills at providing outstanding customer service which we feel has successfully translated into managing our vacation rental property.

I grew up in Lawrence, KS and besides sailing my other passion is home renovating and decorating. We’d been talking about buying property on St. Thomas for a while, so after a trip in January 2014 we found the perfect place on Point Pleasant and made an offer! I arrived on-island in April 2014 and spent the next ten weeks renovating, doing a lot of the work ourselves. The condo was built in the late 1970s and hadn’t been touched in decades so we got rid of everything, made a lot of improvements and cosmetic changes and bought all new furnishings, fixtures and household items and are very proud of the result. We love our island home-away-from-home and feel we’ve created the perfect retreat not just for us but for you as well and hope you feel as comfortable there as we do!

Why Robin Hurley chose East End

We chose Point Pleasant because it had several features that set it apart from other properties on the island that makes it unique. Consider these features and see if they’re what you’re looking for as well (then call me to book our villa!):

• Point Pleasant was built on the hillside of Mt. Pleasant, and since the units are grouped into numerous separate buildings it has more of a resort setting environment rather than a large hotel atmosphere or the feel of an apartment complex.

• Even though you think it might be really cool to rent a property right on the beach, the benefits of renting a hillside property are: the breezes are wonderful (especially in the hilltop units) so it’s rare to feel the need to run the a/c; privacy on your balcony and in your unit (I confess when I walk by a unit on the beach I look in the windows to see how it’s decorated, and when there’s people inside I feel like a peeping Tom!); you don’t need to worry about going to the gym, just walk the hillside for buns of steel (so you can feel free to eat as much as you want!); and the views are breathtakingly beautiful!

• Most units have a wide expanse of windows which means a better view and bigger living space (unlike the “tunnel” effect at other resort properties with less than half the width).

• 24 hour security guards at the property entrance, not just at night.

• Small but private beach where more often than not you will be the only guests there!

• You have the use of three pools at different levels of the property, each with its own distinct feel and view, but your Hilltop pool is a very short walk away and situated where you won’t hear any noise, and often times you’ll have it all to yourself.

• A nature trail planned for and built by the original owners of Point Pleasant.

• Onsite shuttle service just a phone call away (for those of us who don’t want to work on our buns on vacation!).

  • The bathroom has a separate entrance and is located directly across the hall from the bedroom in the loft area. It's been completely renovated with all new fixtures and tile, and we replaced the tub with an oversize shower. It also has a new 36 inch vanity, a separate water closet for privacy, and it's serviced by a tankless hot water unit which means you won't have to shower in shifts like you would with a hot water tank!

  • Your unit has a loft bedroom that overlooks the living area, and you have the choice of closing a set of shutters for privacy, or leaving them open and waking up to the view. The unique feature of the room is a tall king size West Indian four poster bed with a comforpedic mattress delivered in October 2015. You'll also have luxurious linens and various pillows with different thicknesses to choose from. There is also a ceiling fan centered over the bed, and the air conditioner unit is on the wall directly over the bed so you'll have the exact level of cooling comfort you need. The living room also has a pull out queen sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress so whoever draws the short straw and gets this bed will feel like they got the long straw!

Absolutely Amazing View and Owners

This was the best experience ever! The villa was the perfect size! Well stocked! AND They truly thought of everything! From binders filled with info for everything restaurant or excursions you could think of! If you are CDO ( OCD 😉?) like me this is the best place you could stay! Along with a great variety of beach stuff and a great "Use some, leave some" program going 😉? The location is so peaceful and the ViEW IS BREATHTAKING! 😍? Thanks y'all for a week in paradise! We WILL be back!

Also, if your on the fence about using Charlie, USE him!!! He made it very easy coming and going from the airport! Along with knowing the area like the back of his hand! We took the local taxi a few times and although we met a great taxi driver that was very nice as well, we still had multiple stops before our final destination! And We did rent a jeep a couple days out of our stay and absolutely loved that too! We still wouldn't drive at night due to driving on the opposite side of the rode with extremely narrow roads and not knowing what's coming around the corner! Lol highly suggest Charlie :-)

Paradise at D-30

The view is amazing and the place is beautiful and well stocked with everything you need. The owner Robin was very communicative and helpful before, during, and after our stay. She really thought of everything you may need while on vacation in the Caribbean. Take the ferry over to St John's and spend time on the beaches there--they do not disappoint. We will be back for another stay at this wonderful property!

Blue Dreams Villa Exceeded Expectations

This was my first vrbo, and it was an outstanding experience. The condo itself was decorated thoughtfully with high end finishes and humor. Everything you would need to go snorkeling, sun at the beach (with umbrellas, chairs, a cooler, and beach towels). Previous guests left sunscreen and bug spray, and we did the same. The bed was more comfortable than the one at home. Our 2 boys (11 and 9) were comfortable on the pull out sofa bed. The kitchen had bright light which made me so happy. Any kind of cooking or bar equipment, and even a lot of staples were already there. This absolutely was a comfortable home away from home, with so many thoughtful touches. For example, the night light on the few steps down to the main room was a motion light which got brighter. Now the people: Robin was an excellent host. She was very responsive to questions before and during the trip. She provided a lot of information, not just about wifi in the villa, but also a notebook of information about suggested restaurants (and categorized: elegant dinner, casual lunch, etc.), the history of St. Thomas, and the local culture. After I told her I was renting a car, she suggested her private driver Charlie. After that conversation and reading about driving, parking, and parking fees in St. Thomas, I decided to cancel the jeep reservation and go with Charlie. What a fabulous decision. Charlie is a wonderful man, and he drove carefully everywhere, and made our vacation a lot more stress free. He was kind and told us a lot of history and current events of his home. He was very available for us, and was flexible when we changed our minds about what we were going to do. Now Beverly, Robin's onsite manager - what a treasure. Beverly had groceries delivered (I sent a list to Robin) so that we wouldn't have to go out right away. That saved us a drive to the store, and we were able to prepare lunch right away, and then have fun. We also took the ferry to St. John, and had a private class of Anti Gravity Aerial yoga with Point Wellness Spa, Beverly's business. We worked out some kinks, did some stretches, saw a cow walking down the road, and saw a road sign that said "watch out for falling goats". Yeah, you read that right. Our 11 year old boy said this was his favorite activity of the whole trip (that beat out snorkeling, day sail, lots of beaches, playing on iPod). Robin, Beverly, and Charlie were so attentive to our family. Almost forgot, view is spectacular

Amazing view!!!

So much better than the pictures and the pictures were great! Robin, Beverly and Charlie were so welcoming and helpful. The views were breathtaking and so sad to leave. The condo literally had everything you could ever want or need. We would absolutely book this trip again! Thank you Robin, David, Beverly and Charlie for an outstanding vacation!

Point Pleasant is less than a five minute drive away to the hopping east end town of Red Hook where you'll find a variety of restaurants, shops, bars, a marina for catching day sails, and ferry service to St. John and the BVIs. Nearby you'll also find horseback riding, parasailing, the Coki Point Aquarium, eco tour kayaking, and several beaches. If you want to venture downtown to Charlotte Amalie, it's only a 15 minute drive away to more unique shops, restaurants and a wonderful historical area of St. Thomas.
