About the property

Luxury Log Cabin 3BR 2BA Mountain Range VIEWS

Mooseview is a private, luxury, year round cabin with views of an entire mountain range.

This cabin is for those who appreciate life's vistas and want to get more of that summit experience. The views, which are enlarged in the winter, will call you back to the deck, windows and hot tub over and over.

The cabin is decorated in Adirondack flavor for an authentic experience, yet modern amenities make for ease of stay.

This 2002 Lincoln Log cabin was extremely well planned with central greatroom plus 3 bedrooms, all separate from one another for privacy. A den and 2 baths round out the cabin. Hickory log beds (King, Qu, Qu) sit slightly higher than the average with premiere bedding and quality new mattresses. Interior features also include WIFI, heated floors and many windows to take in the scenery. Lights are on dimmers in many the rooms for a romantic stay, along with a stone wood burning corner fireplace and hot tub just steps away from the master king bedroom and great room.

The gourmet kitchen offers cherry cabinets, granite counters, stainless appliances and is amply stocked with all you need. The cabin includes many items others do not, so all you have to do is pack your clothing and purchase food items. (if you choose to eat in.)

Entertainment includes games, CD player, turntable with numerous 70's albums for your use in the great room, whereas the lower level den, a new 40" flat screen TV and DVD player/ DVD's.

Outdoor features include rocking porch for morning coffee and a large no outlet deck with 6 person Saratoga Spa hot tub, Large Weber grill, 4 ADK chairs and wrought iron table for 6 to view the mountains.

This cabin is perfect for one to three couples, romantic getaways, spa weekends, Girls getaway, retirees, photographers, nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts and VIP s who desire or need privacy.

The cabin price is comparable to a luxury hotel room for two in the area, yet offers so much more. This is a special property, convenient to BOTH mountain and lakes.

The Adirondack Mountains offer world-class hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, biking, touring, along with multiple festivals, museums, wildlife centers, beaches, shopping, restaurants and former 1932 and 1980 Olympic venues. Reserve early, as this property books quickly. See reviews and guest book for the experience of others at this cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

The full, unobstructed views of an entire mountain and 2 mountain ranges are what set this cabin apart from other cabins. In addition, log furniture, private bedrooms, hot tub, taxidermy, handcrafted original items and mountain antiques, make for a most unique and special ADK stay.

This cabin has been well received, see reviews and guestbook.

The Quintessential Adirondack Get Away!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed a long weekend at the property in January celebrating my birthday. The amenities were amazing as was the ADK décor! From the spectacular view, the outdoor hot tub, the warm inviting fireplace, to the open layout of the cabin, we loved it all. The homeowners were a pleasure to work with and truly made every effort to ensure that our vacation was wonderful. They offered recommendations for dining, cross-country skiing, local hikes and just about any information that you would want on what to do in the area is available in the cabin. We can't wait to schedule a return trip!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Mooseview. You really appreciated the experience we aim to achieve for our guests. Lake Placid can be intimidating, "where do we start?", "where do we go?" "what do we do?" "what are the good restaurants?" We do aim to individually help each renter, so we're glad it did make for a great experience for you. You are an A plus renter and you are invited back anytime.

The beautiful decor made this cabin feel like you where part of the adirondecks!!! We had a quiet getaway for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Enjoyed all the amenities including the fireplace and hot tub. The views were amazing and the snow made it feel like a winter wonderland. We are looking forward to a return stay!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you! We are so glad you experienced the setting and complimentary decor of the cabin. The windows really allow the "outside in". Basically, you become a spectator of nature in it's full display, because of the way the cabin is situated. You are most welcome to return anytime we are available.

Great views!!

  • 5 of 5

This place had amazing views form an amazing deck and hot tub. The house fits 3 couples easily and could also fit a couple more singles. Easy access to Saranac lake and only 10 min drive to lake placid. Kitchen was stocked. Living room comfortable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review. The views are pretty special from here. We have a 6 person maximum, per contract, but yes, our cabin is very comfortable for 4-6 adults, especially in the winter when the decks aren't as utilized (other than hot tub).

Quiet cabin w/with beautiful views!

  • 5 of 5

My husband competed in the Ironman Lake Placid last weekend & we really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful home. There were 4-5 of us at any different point of the week & there was plenty of room without any feeling of being cramped. The house is well appointed & beautifully decorated with a cabin feel & was very cozy. It was stocked with everything we could have needed & more. We will absolutely be returning in the future.

A great chalet close to Whiteface

  • 5 of 5

We were 6 adults and the chalet was perfect for a ski week-end. Close to Whiteface mountain also from Saranac Lake. Very clean and a lot of space. We appreciated all information we got prior our arrival from Nancy and Tom.

Chalet is in a very quiet place with a very nice view on the mountains. It was very nice to cook in the kitchen also. Full equipped kitchen with a lot of space.

We all appreciated the bottle of wine provided from the owner as a welcome present. Spa, fireplace, nice area for dinner and 3 large bedrooms very comfortable.

I recommend this chalet and I will probably come back on next year for another ski week-end with friends or family.

Thank you again for your accommodation Tom!

Owner's Response: We are glad to welcome our Canadian neighbors, Celine. We are so happy you all enjoyed your ski weekend stay here at Mooseview. Yes the cabin, "chalet", as you call it, has so much to offer. You have been our closest guests, only 2 hours away (Montreal). We would be glad to welcome you back.

Mooseview

  • 5 of 5

An amazing cabin located in the perfect setting with beautiful views. We were impressed with the information and photos provided on the site but were even more impressed when we arrived. Each room was beautifully decorated and gave us a true sense of a mountain getaway. The views of the mountains from the deck were amazing and if you stay here I highly recommend getting up in time to watch the sunrise...absolutely beautiful!! Also, make sure you enjoy the hot tub on the deck but especially at night. I have never seen so many stars..it was awesome!! Mooseview had all the amenities you could ask for and Nancy and Tom provided all the instructions and directions you could need. Nancy was also available for questions about the town, groceries and restaraunts, while we were there which was very nice and helpful. We didn't have to worry about anything which is exactly what we wanted! Our only regret is how fast our weekend went...we'll have to stay longer next time! I would highly recommend Mooseview, first class all the way around!!
