This is an apartment for anyone looking for a place with character. The location is very convenient to grocery stores, cafes and tourist sites. The train and bus station are an easy 15-20 minute walk. I stayed for a month and felt right at home. The kitchen is well equipped, and I was able to cook meals easily after shopping at nearby markets. The bathroom is a little dated, but completely functional and adequate. The furniture in the apartment is charming and comfortable. Isabella was responsive to questions and provided helpful suggestions on where to shop and eat. When I learned that 2 of my relatives wanted to visit me for a week, she was very accommodating with extra towels and sheets. I would recommend this apartment to friends. The pizzeria, Birraria La Corte located across Campo San Polo, is open later than the other restaurants and has good pizza.
I stayed here with my family in July, and we really wished we had had more time! The apartment is in a great location - it's central, and very easy walking distance to all the things you want to see, but it's also in a quiet, tranquil corner. Isabella could not have been more helpful and accommodating - although she couldn't meet us, she did everything possible to make our stay easy and pleasant. The apartment is well equipped, and nicely decorated. When we come back to Venice we would definitely hope to stay here again.
I booked to stay in the Fairy House for a trip to Venice for my partner's birthday. It was a great find. I initially searched hotels and found them to be extremely expensive if you wanted something "Venetian" and of a high standard. This apartment was great value when comparing to hotel prices of the same standard.
The apartment is very quirky, and had a real Venetian home feel to it. The location couldn't have been better. Very central but equally very peaceful as it is tucked away off a square and at the end of a canal route.
I found the information that Isabella provided before the trip very helpful and the history of the building gave us more of a sense that we were staying in a building with a story behind it. We didn't stay in much to eat as we were only there for three nights but if you wanted to cook the kitchen is well set up to do so. The place was clean and I would recommend staying here. I would certainly like to return.
A lovely, spacious, older style apartment in a very central area but in a quiet little cul-de-sac just next to Campo San Polo. Just a short walk to everything. All modern conveniences and Wi-Fi (except, NO washing machine- speak to the owner for possible arrangements!) and very comfortably furnished in a quaint, older fashioned style. There is a "Majer" café within 3 minutes walk across the square for those needing a good, strong coffee hit and with a reasonable selection of foods, and there are also lots of other cafes and restaurants in the more traditional style close by.
The owner, Isabella, was extremely friendly and helpful, providing lots of information and advice which made our arrival and stay very easy and trouble free. Highly recommended.
Piano rialzato che , soprattutto in certe stagioni, aiuta a tenere a bada l'umidita sempre presente a Venezia, comunque deumidificatore presente nell'appartamento. Consigliatissimo! Avrei voluto tornarci quest'anno ma era già tutto prenotato!
