About the property

Cabin, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Baths, Sleeps 6

Soak up the beautiful views from your private deck, prepare a home-cooked meal in the full kitchen, or curl up by the wood-burning fireplace on a rainy day: however you choose to spend your time at the Oregon Coast, this charming Waldport cottage makes a cozy home away from home.

This relaxing retreat is one of Waldport's lovely Cape Cod Cottages, a serene community perched just steps from the sandy shores of Big Stump Beach.

This two-bedroom cottage has space for up to six guests (and two dogs - welcome for an additional nightly fee). In addition to a full kitchen and cozy living area, the cottage has two bedrooms. Upstairs is a bedroom with two double beds, and downstairs is a queen bedroom. There's one full bath with a shower only (no tub), and WiFi and cable TV are provided as well.

Charming little Waldport itself is about two and a half miles north, with more shopping and dining options six miles south in Yachats. And, of course, the beautiful beach is just steps outside your door!

About Vacasa, OR - Oregon Coast Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental managementthings like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this homeour team is standing by!

Nice rustic units

  • 4 of 5

The unit was very clean and comfortable. The view and the access to the beach is good. This facility has been here for years, they are in the process of updating. My husband and I spent our honeymoon here 62 years ago. Location is between Yachts and Waldport, very convenient. I would stay there again.

Great beach and Ocean view

  • 4 of 5

While unit 3 is small, there are three queen size beds that are comfortable. The view and the privacy of the balcony is well worth any comfort loss from the small living room. If you are looking for an affordable place to stay with a great view and fantastic quite beach this is the place. We did have a furry friend(skunk) under the house the first two days so we had to enjoy it's fragrance for a bit but it eventually left. Overall as usual a great relaxing couple days at the beach.

Not at all what we expected.

  • 1 of 5

The cottages are very old as is the furniture. The only queen bed is terrible. The two full beds upstairs are a little better, but it means climbing the stairs to sleep. None of the curtains were big enough to cover the windows.

There was an old dirty sock on the floor in the closet in the downstairs bedroom. Not sure how a cleaning person could miss it.

Overall it was dirty in all the corners, cobwebs above the windows and generally not inviting.

We won't be back and will be telling our friends not to bother.

We have had great experiences with VRBO before, but this time certainly did not measure up.

Great view!

  • 4 of 5

We had 4 in our group and stayed in cabin 3. It was comfortable enough for the 4 of us, but I wouldn't recommend and more than that since there wasn't much for comfortable seating. The fireplace worked great, but be sure to bring wood as none is provided. And there were no on site staff to purchase any from. The local grocery store does have wood for purchase. The small deck with chairs were nice to sit in and drink coffee in the morning while watching the ocean. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dishes, glasses and coffee cups, pots n pans, but if you need a hand mixer you should bring one as there aren't any small appliances other than the coffee maker, toaster, and microwave in the cabin. Bring extra dish soap if staying longer than a couple days, as what's provided is a tiny travel size like dish soap. The heat worked great, in fact we got too hot. The shower was awesome, excellent water pressure. The cabin is perfect if you're not looking for anything too fancy. It's pretty basic, but comfortable. A great place to relax in after a fun day on the beach. We would definitely come back again.
