From the Cincinnati area, we have been coming to Hilton Head since the 1970s. A peaceful place surrounded by gorgeous nature we love to enjoy. This paradise always gives us some great time to relax.
Chantal purchased this Condo in 2001
Why Chantal chose Hilton Head Island
We fell in love with Evian as it is truely unique to the Island. Our villa is nestled in one of Shipyard's most beautiful settings. It has the French Mediterranean look with gorgeous lagoons, beautiful flower beds and greenery. This charming location will give you a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere . If you want your private space, this is it.
What makes this Condo unique
Proximity to the lagoon, the swimming pool and the tennis courts. Close to the beach and Coligny Plaza with a variety of shops and restaurants. Gorgeous view of the golf course and the lagoon. Ample space is in the condo for multiple families as there are 3 bedrooms each with private bath.

This unit is spacious, well appointed, and nicely situated for lagoon and golf views. My only concern is the difficulty in retrieving the front door key, but even with that, this unit is definitely one I hope to rent in the future.
Plenty of room, easy booking, Chantel is da bomb.
Worked with Chantel directly in several languages to complete booking. Check in went smoothly. Cleaning crew worked hard to get us in early even though the previous guests had stayed there a month. All was as stated. Plenty of room, kitchen more then adequately supplied, boogie boards a nice touch. Easy peasy double squeezy bike ride to beach (could walk easily). Even closer to Van Der Meer if you're there for tennis instruction. Didn't use Evian's courts but they looked to be in very good shape and lighted as well. Went clamming, got some nice ones, although not as plentiful as last year. A local on the clamming grounds indicated it was the dredging going on in Calibogue Sound that was affecting the clams. What do I know? Took the boys fishing and my 23 year old got a "bull" Red Drum that went about 23 pounds. The 16 year old got a small shark, and we caught enough Whiting for delicious fish with pasta and tomato sauce dinner that night along with a clam stew. But, enough about our adventures. The condo was absolutely perfect for my needs and we easily could have put another family in there with us with some jockeying of bed space. Can't beat it. There is a downstairs bedroom if you've got mobility issues.
Great location, clean place!
We loved the villa and it's location. It was very clean and spacious, perfect for the family. Great location, close to the tennis courts, restaurants, and shops. Spent many hours relaxing on the back patio with a gorgeous view of the lagoon and golf course. It was very peaceful and very relaxing! I will definitely be back next year!
Great place to stay!
We really enjoyed this condo during our stay in Hilton Head. Our parking passes were ready for us at the gate, when checking in everything was clean and decorated very cute and "beachy". There is a great dining table for family dinners and a little dining area for the kids as well if you bring kids. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are spacious and there are plenty of extra towels.
Outside on the patio there are two grills for your use. We loved the outdoor seating right next to the lagoon. There were a few alligators that swam right up to the edge of the pond that we took photos of and it was kind of exciting to get to see them up close. (don't worry they never came out of the pond!)
The condo is right across the street (literally a stones throw) so it is very easy to go to the pool. The pool is close enough where if you want to walk back over to grab a drink or snack you really don't even have to pack a bag. We ordered bikes while we were there and rode them down to the beach, as well as having one car drive with the provided beach pass with all of our gear. The Shipyard beach entrance is very nice with chairs you can rent, a rinse off area for your feet, kids, or gear, and it is close to a hotel where you can go for lunch or frozen drinks if you want.
Thank you Chantal and family for a great trip!
Extremely Outdated and Dirty
When we arrived we were quite disappointed that the unit was so outdated. There were cockroaches and spiders throughout the unit. There was a leak in the ceiling that caused water to fall on the dining room table. We contacted the owner about these issues and they were handled. A coffeemaker did not work. The beds were extremely uncomfortable. I would not recommend this unit.
Contrary to the comments regarding "outdated", in the last 24 months, the following updates have occured to our condo. Each is clear in the pictures. Absolutely new Italian tile floors and granite kitchen countertops and new paint throughout (both levels). Additionally, the 2nd bedroom bathroom has been renovated, new beds in 2 of the 3 rooms, new air conditioning (in/out units), new exterior paint and renovated downstairs bathrooms. The leak was immediately acknowledged and repaired as this renter stated. The Renter provided no additional reference information relating to his/her meaning behind the "Dirty" comment in the title section.
Update, Relaxing and a Spectacular View
This is the 3rd year running we have stayed in this villa. It only gets better. When arriving from Canada each year and after a long long drive, the unit is always properly presented when we arrive. Its like coming home.
Hilton Head is always hot this time of the year ... but the vista from the rear patio to the lagoon and golf fairway are peaceful and relaxing. The aligators were in the lagoon this time around ... and swam nearby out of curiosity.
Chantal ... well done and nice color selection on the bathroom updates.
Cheers until next year.
With its lovely villa accommodations, golf courses, tennis clubs, this gated resort is proof that good things do come in small packages on Hilton Head island. The numerous lagoons are home to many varieties of semi-tropical birds and wildlife. Shipyard is the most sports-oriented resort of the plantations. Our villa is unique to the island with its Mediterranean flair and surrounded by trees draped in Spanish Moss. The location is peaceful, quite and serene. The grounds around the villas are immaculate, with beautiful well kept flower beds and 'dreaming' benches around the nature trails. We are right across from the swimming pool, tennis courts (just a few steps away), beside a five acre fishing lake and within walking distance to the ocean. Scenic bike trails are all over the plantation and will bring you from the beach to Coligny Plaza with its variety of shops and restaurants. You can safely cruise through neat neighborhoods, ride to dinner or even do your sightseeing by bike. All bike rental places deliver and pickup for free. Some of the amenities in Shipyard include, 27 holes of Championship golf, miles of gorgeous bike paths, beach access, world famous Shipyard Racquet Club, Sonesta Resort hotel. Dolphin watch and nature cruises, watersports/parasailing, canoeing, low country dining, shopping in style. The island's location also allows for easy day trips to the historic cities of Savannah, Georgia and Charleston, South Carolina.
