About Barbara McDermott

Our family has been coming to Rehoboth for more than two decades. We have been fortunate enough to purchase this property which we are sharing with you.

Barbara McDermott purchased this townhome in 2010

Why Barbara McDermott chose Grande at Canal Pointe

This property offers the best of many great things about Rehoboth. It is convenient to town, the beach, and the outlets, yet secluded enough that you are not overwhelmed by the business of the summer season, and offers proximity to a great bike bath.

Because of the design of the house, it can accommodate large families with discrete spaces for a variety of activities.

What makes this townhome unique

Avoid all the Route 1 traffic getting into town and going to the beach.

Guestbook comments from the owner

This place is gorgeous! Definitely spacious, with bedrooms on 3rd and lower level for privacy. Main living level is large enough to accommodate 8-10 people easily, and kitchen/great room space is perfect for conversations before and after dinner. Loved the flat screen TV in the master bedroom. Pool is right cross the street and was never crowded. Bike path at our door for early morning rides to Lewes. Back road to outlets and downtown Rehoboth was so convenient. Will definitely be back next year.

Great location and spacious living!

  • 4 of 5

The home was perfect for 4 adults and 3 kids. There was lots of space to play family games, eat and hang out on the second floor. We spent evenings on the balcony enjoying the night air. This is such a great place for relaxation, beach life, shopping and pool time. The house is well maintained and decent price. There are a few things that I could recommend fixing/cleaning but nothing that would ever deter me from renting this great place. Highly recommend.

Small baloony

Owner's Response: Thanks for your review. We are glad you had a good time. It is true that our balcony is on the smaller size equipped with chairs and a low table for four. In our description of the property we are careful to point out that while the house is very close to the pool theJunction and Breakwater Trail, grocery stores, and outlets, it is a mile and a half into the ocean edge of town, without crossing Route 1.

Spacious! Would stay there again

  • 4 of 5

The owner was great, very responsive to any questions we had and provided helpful information to us "newbies" visiting Rehoboth Beach. The amount of space was more than we needed for our family of 3, but we thoroughly enjoyed having plenty of room for our little one to play. The kitchen had pretty much everything we needed (except I didn't notice any plastic containers for packing food/lunch for the beach, and there wasn't any hand soap or disinfectant wipes for cleaning up in the house). But stores are close by to get what you need! The community was very nice, and pretty quiet. We were very impressed by how little we could hear once inside the townhouse. (We've stayed places where the sound travels through the walls terribly!) The geese at the pond outside the master suite were the noisiest thing we experienced. The pool within walking distance was very nice and never too busy. We didn't walk anywhere outside the community; we always drove everywhere.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind words. We do provide hand soap in the kitchen and every bathroom and cleaning supplies. The guest before you must have removed them. Sorry about that. We are happy you had a good time.

Outstanding vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

Rental home was very clean. Owner was very cooperative throughout the rental process. Only problem we had was trying to get the tv on the main floor to work. Appears from past experiences that I had with Verizon remotes is that the xfinity remote should be replaced with a new one. Would welcthe chance to stay in this rental sometime in the future.

Owner's Response: We are happy that our guests had such a good time. We must note that we do provide instructions on how to use the remote for those individuals who use a different service provider, as well as extra batteries for the remote. Thank you for the gracious review.

Really good

  • 4 of 5

Nice property! The fact that there were no sheets was confusing, and didn't really want a linen service.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the review. We are happy you enjoyed yourselves. Please note that our listing, our rental agreement, and our information sheet clearly point out that it is the renter's responsibility to bring sheets and towels. This has been and remains the practice in Rehoboth Beach.

Comfortable, excellent owner response!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I brought our teen granddaughters for a week and enjoyed having plenty of space. There was a bit of morning pitter-patter of little feet from the rooms above, but otherwise quiet. A good location near the beach and shopping. The owners were easy to deal with, and very communicative. Would stay there again.
