About the property

Walk Out Your Front Door to San Diego's Best Farmer's Market, Cafes & More

There is no other property like this in Central San Diego! Located right behind the DoubleTree Hotel in Little Italy, you'll have the city's absolute best Farmer's Market right outside your doorway every Saturday.

The rooms are set up as follows:

You are a short stroll away from Pappalecco's famous coffee as well as other great establishments that include Craft & Commerce Filippi's pizza, Landini's Pizzeria, Ballast Point Tasting Room and more.

There are tons of amazing bars and restaurants in the neighborhood. But it's quiet - this is not the Gaslamp! You can walk 15 minutes to the heart of the Gaslamp (or take a $5 Uber).

The home is ideally of the I-5. You will never see anything like this 125 year old charmer. in 2012-2013, we took the entire building down to its studs. No expense was spared as we reconstructed this beautiful historic gem.

Great stay in LIttle Italy

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect location for our recent stay for the Rock & Roll Marathon...4 blocks from the finish line! In the middle of Little Italy with easy access to amazing dining.

The large house easily accommodated our group of 10 - plenty of room and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other. The living room and kitchen were larger than expected from the pictures. The house had all of the basics that you need, plenty of towels, etc. The owners were easy to work with.

Clean, spacious, in a great location!

  • 5 of 5

The house was clean and spacious and worked out great for our family! The large dining table, plenty of seating in the living rooms, and 7 bedrooms easily accommodated our large family. The rooms at the front of the house can be a bit noisy especially on Saturday when they begin setting up for the farmers market. The farmers market, however, is wonderful with great food and crafts. The location of the house is ideally located next to Little Italy. It is walking distance to many great restaurants. We also walked to the Gaslamp District which is about 1 mile from the house. Parking around the house is limited, however, the parking lot at the corner can be reserved for $20 a day with in and out privileges. In and out privileges are only available if you made a reservation. We had a great time in San Diego and the house worked out perfectly for our family!

Great accommodations for large family group

  • 4 of 5

We were two families with young children (7 people total) who stayed here for 5 days on vacation/conference. As many previous reviews have said, this house is in a great location- very close to Little Italy and a trolley station. Downtown is walkable as well, so a car is not needed. Street noise was not a problem for us. We especially liked the large common spaces and had more than enough room for everyone. The baby crib in the downstairs bedroom and the washer/dryer were much appreciated and used. The floorboards did not creak and there are doors to close off the living room, which let the kids sleep without us bothering them in the evening. There were plenty of random items (spices/sugar/oil) in the kitchen as well as towels and shampoo. The owners was also very easy to communicate with via email. The only issue we had was some form of childproof locking mechanism on the front door which was tricky to figure out and may be a hazard in the event of a fire.

We had a wonderful time in San Diego and would certainly stay here again if traveling with a larger group.

Clean, convenient, excellent owners

  • 4 of 5

Place was great in middle of vibrant neighborhood and two blocks from some of favorite restaurants in San Diego. The locking mechanism on the front door is tricky and sometimes it's hard to get out - if the owners fixed this: 5/5.

Prime location, plenty of bed space, Farmer's Market right outside

  • 5 of 5

This house was in a prime location, with the Little Italy Farmer's Market literally right outside the door on Saturdays! The house is clean with gorgeous vintage details and plenty of bed space. It is more than functional to accommodate a large group, and if you have a large group, this is the perfect home for you. Also enjoyed the back space with patio table for outdoor dining and hanging out.

Nice house for a large group

  • 4 of 5

The house was very nice for our stay during a meeting at the Hyatt. We opted to stay in a flat rather than the hotel to minimize costs a bit. There were seven of us so we all got our own rooms which was great. There was plenty of room for additional people as there were 10 beds in total if I remember correctly. The place was about 1 mile from the seaport village area where our conference was. We walked most of the time, but the green line was about a 5 minute walk away which takes you into town or connects you with the other tram lines. To and from the airport, a cab ride was about $15 and Uber ~$6. The facilities at the house were good and there was a nice welcome basket with some wine and a few snacks. The area is really nice with a lot of restaurants and brewpubs around. There was also a street market on Saturday that was full of local food and wares. The security deposit seemed at bit of an overkill, since there were few furnishings in the house. However, the deposit was returned within a couple days of our departure. Communication with the house owners was adequate. I would recommend this house if you are traveling with a large group.
