Quiet and peaceful getaway!
My husband and I had a wonderfully peaceful weekend away at this carriage house. It was absolutely immaculate, cozy on a super cold fall weekend and we thought the location was perfect! We ventured into town for some warm good food on Friday night and took the easy drive to visit some wineries in Geneva on Saturday!
We would plan to stay here again in a heartbeat!
Very comfortable, great location.
We stayed in the carriage house two nights in mid October. It was very comfortable with a large living area, good size bedroom, and fully equipped kitchen & bathroom.
It is right next to the bed & breakfast and very close to the lake. The landscaping of the property is beautiful and amazingly well maintained.
The owners are very accessible and very friendly.
The unit is upstairs which was no problem for us at all but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone who can’t climb stairs. I highly recommend it to all others.
Next time we are in the area we won’t even think of staying anyplace else.
Perfect Anniversary Getaway!
We decided to fly across the country to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. Our first few days in NY were spent in the Carriage House apartment...and, it was beyond wonderful! Judy was warm and wonderful as she has been described in many of the reviews. She didn't bat an eye when we showed up early and explained that our luggage had been lost, which included all of our itinerary information, including her phone number. She graciously let us check in early, after our all night flight and exhausting luggage search! The Carriage House apartment is charming and very comfortable! We had everything that we needed for our trip, and Judy was just a few steps away if we had needed anything additional. The landscape is gorgeous and water views, especially at sunset, were stunning!! If we ever get a chance to come back out (and I hope we do!) Judy's Carriage House is the first place we will think of!!!
Perfect location for quiet get-away
We stayed at this carriage house apartment Sept 23-27 and it was great. Full sized LR and BR, plus nice bathroom and small kitchen was just the space we needed, and we felt we could live there is we needed to. We could get to several of the places we wanted to visit in less than an hour and had a great time seeing Skaneattles, Seneca Falls, Ithaca (and Cornell), Rose Hill Mansion, etc. Saw a musical production at the Merry-go-Round Theatre just a mile from the apt. Being a carriage house, it is on the 2nd floor which requires carrying you own bags up a flight of stairs. This could be an issue if you have excess luggage, but since we always travel light, it did not bother us.
very nice, clean
we had an excellent time, the carriage house was very well setup and clean.
Beautiful home, wonderful host, and right on Owasco Lake!
The home is absolutely gorgeous with views of the lake from the house! The lawn was very green and nicely landscaped too. You can walk right down and sit by the lake. There are chairs and tables down there for you to use. The sunsets are beautiful, and it is extremely peaceful there. Judy was very helpful to guide us on anything we needed. She also very quickly responded to the questions we had prior to getting there. You can go right to the park (less than a mile away) to rent a kayak and/or paddle board. That is a nice way to see more of the lake. There are some great restaurants in the area too. We visited the Prison City Pub and Brewery in the town (very close), and went to the Sherwood Inn one night. The home is nicely decorated and very clean. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, and want to see some beautiful sights, check this place out. We will be back.
Additional information about rental rates
