What an awesome, relaxing, and centrally located in the middle of nowhere vacation rental. We started and ended each day on the front porch overlooking the farm and enjoying our quiet surroundings after our busy days sightseeing. The history, the horses, and yes, the bourbon distilleries where within an hours drive in any direction! Thank you Bryan!
We enjoyed our stay at Above The Bourbon Trail. Bryan had everything ready for our first night there. The grill was clean and ready to use which was really nice for us. The fire pit was ready to use although we did not get to use it because of the weather but it was nice that it was ready for us. The only problem I had was that the cleaning staff needs to check a few place for cob webs such as around the top of the walls everything else was clean and ready. Note to anyone staying here in the drawer closes to the table is a lot of information on things to do besides the Bourbon trail which we did and had fun. A lot more to see and not enough time. Also a great place to eat is New Haven Pizza best pizza I have ever had not much for looks on the inside of this pizza place but the food was above and beyond great. Bryan you have a beautiful place and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you for everything Kelly
Great spot, can’t wait to come back.
A slice of heaven in KY
First time in Bourbon country. Loved our little cottage we stayed in for the weekend. Had everything we needed and more! What a wonderful location just gorgeous view and we are so lucky that Brian shared this property with us! We will be back for sure. Views were breathtaking and area was such a wonderful surprise. My husband was in his glory with the distillery's and I had fun shopping in the location shops. It was about 25 minutes from Bardstown so it wasn't going back and forth. Thanks again Brian for a wonderful weekend!

Total relaxation in a beautiful setting
We enjoyed a spectacular weekend at Cissal Hill Farm and can't wait to visit again. The setting and weather was beautiful! We left the farm only to attend the Chihuly exhibit at Maker's Mark but would have been content to stay on the porch, around the firepit or wandering around the farm. Thanks for a wonderful experience.
Perfect pet friendly near the Bourbon Trail
Traveled to finish touring the Bourbon Trail with my wife and Police K9 - this place fit our needs perfectly. It was spacious - had everything we needed and plenty of room for the dog to run around. The owner was very accommodating - allowing us to help ourselves to more wood when we ran low - and answering questions while we were there. The farm is remote which was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful views - we absolutely loved using the fire pit every night and enjoying sunsets. We would stay here again if we were in the area. The kitchen was well stocked with better than usual pots/pans and cutlery. Just an all-around great experience - if we had to say anything less than complimentary - it would be that the beds could have been firmer - but maybe that's just our preference. Love Cissal Hill Farm great escape location and highly recommended!
