WONDERFUL TIME

10-31-14

We had a wonderful time in your beautiful house!!! The only thing we'd suggest would be clearer directions. Possible telling people if coming on I90 E or W to take the Nodine exit 267, go past the Kwik Trip, take the right on 104, go down until you see 125, take a left, go until you see a yellow house on left.. Just a thought

Thanks again we'd stay again!!

All our best from all our Families

Great for an extended family gathering of 18

  • 5 of 5

This is our first time staying at this property. The owner who lives across the way was super friendly. What drew us to this place was that we could bring our dog, and the unique basement sleeping arrangement. Our oldest daughter and son-in-law, who have five children 6-under with one on the way, hesitated doing this family gathering. However, they really enjoyed the lay out of multiple beds separated by partial walls, with curtains for privacy. They were able to meet their family's needs by having the entire lower level to themselves with an extra bedroom to boot. There are extensive somewhat rugged trails that belong to this property which the men and children thought were great to walk. We all loved getting to have backyard fires during the evenings. This was the perfect place for our family to sit and visit especially because the little ones could run or ride their trikes to their heart's content around the big circle cement drive.

Great family place

  • 5 of 5

We returned to Hegge Haven for a second year and were pleased with improvements to an already great place. Lower level sleeping area now has curtains to divide the space for more privacy and the main floor bedroom has a better bed . This place is very clean. Owners responded quickly when the coffee maker didn't work.

A great place for a fun family get together in the country

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here as a bunch of us were going to a 90th birthday bash and family reunion in LaCrosse. We were able to sleep 10 in there very comfortably and could have slept 20 if we needed to. The Basement is a bit "basementy" lol but it served it's purpose. The top floor accommodations were the nicest. We have grandkids and there were toys and a rope swing and horse shoes and bikes etc for them. Also 2 pack n plays and a crib and two high chairs. Awesome. Also a basketball hoop. We could take hikes in the morning and enjoy the countryside. The Kitchen has a gigantic fridge that easily held lots of beer and food. We had a BBQ for 35 people and everyone had a great time and there were chairs and tables we could move temporarily outside for that event.

The owners were very attentive and couldn't have been nicer to us. We would stay there again in a flash as we all had a great time.

Other features, it is very wheelchair accessible. There are ramps and even an elevator and lift chair. Really set up for almost anyone. The front porch was awesome to sit on during the rain. If you have a big crowd, this is your place.

Great time was had by all!

  • 5 of 5

My father, brothers, and uncle go on a yearly trip and this year we found this location. The home is quite spacious and cozy at the same time with lots of space to move around and enjoy your time. We were welcomed upon arrival and received a tour of the home which was quite nice. One downside is that it is pretty secluded from any restaurants, bars and other things to do but at the same time it was nice having some great quiet space that encouraged us to cook a bit more and spend more time together.

Thank you so much, we really had a fun time!!
