Amazing views and ultimate cottage decor

  • 5 of 5

This was the second year in a row that my family stayed at this property, and trust me this is the o ly one that we will stay at. From the breathtaking views, to the piece and quiet, and not to mention the overall atmosphere inside and outside the cottage makes for an amazing time. Our kids absolutely love the ability to swim from the shallow sandy bottom shoreline to the swim platform. We decided this year to do less sight seeing and spend more time at the property. We still were sad to leave. It never feels long enough. We will definitely be making a yearly trip here. Robert and Amy are amazing to deal with and we never have to want for anything. Definitely worth it for anyone looking to stay in the area. Only a 15 minute drive to anything your heart desires. Wonderful memories can for sure be made here and looked back on for years to come.

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

Rob's beautiful cottage is on a quiet lake within 15 minutes of Traverse City. He thought of everything when it comes to items to have on hand. The little carry out down the road was also a plus. I honestly cannot say enough about the place.....immaculately clean, comfortable beds, nice deck and gorgeous view of the lake. We will definitely stay again. Rob and Amy were great people with which to work!

Beautiful views!

  • 4 of 5

We were very happy with our stay at this house. It was decorated very cabin like and was the perfect size for my husband and I. The neighbors were closers than we expected, but they were not a problem. We enjoyed the fire pit and the dock, but wished we had a kayak or other vessel to put in the water. Compared to other homes we've rented, the towel and toilet paper supply was pretty limited, but we were pleasantly surprised that there was coffee and filters. Overall a great house to rent!

Owner's Response: I appreciate the nice review of the cottage and am really glad you were happy with your stay! I understand that it would be nice to have kayaks available and feel I will need to research that option further. In the meantime, I have added to the rental information several places in the TC area that provide multiple day rentals with delivery (along with all the safety equipment required). Again, thank you for the helpful review and for choosing to stay on High Lake!!

Beautiful and peaceful location deep in the woods on one side and lake front on the other

  • 5 of 5

We loved the update cabin which sets deep in the woods and right on the lake. Enjoyed camp fire at night and jumping off the diving platform during the day. My teens had a lot of fun and we were able to relax and enjoy the peaceful lake. Nice selection of restaurants just short drive to downtown Traverse City. The owner and the property manager made our experience extra memorable. We will stay there again. Thank you for sharing your lovely place.

This place is beautifully updated on a gorgeous quiet lake. Bring the kayaks! Close to amenities and Traverse City. You can hang out on the back deck with a great view or sit on your little private beach. Totally remodeled, really nice!

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

What a quiet, peaceful, relaxing place to call home for a week. We loved that we were out of town, but close enough to enjoy the beautiful town of traverse city and the surrounding area. With so many outdoor activities, breweries and wineries to discover we were in heaven. Both the owner and manager are wonderful to work with, thank you again!
