About Vivian Cioffi

I'm first generation Italian-American, and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. I currently live in New York City with my husband and son, who is 13. My son and I are both avid tennis players, and spend the summer in Quogue, New York, enjoying tennis outdoors. The three of us are foodies, and take advantage of all the great restaurants in Manhattan. We are also avid movie goers, and Sunday night is typically pizza and a movie, not necessarily in that order.

Vivian Cioffi purchased this house in 2013

Why Vivian Cioffi chose Lewes

I went to Lewes with an old friend because she was interested in purchasing a home in Lewes after having vacationed there. Within moments, I was in love with Lewes. The people are so kind, and the town is charming, with great shopping and GREAT restaurants. I got home and told my husband I thought we should buy a house there. We returned the following weekend, and as soon as I walked into this house, I knew it would be mine. I spent some time there before it rented for the summer 2013, and was so happy walking into town for coffee, or breakfast, running into the shops for flip-flops or a book, and getting to know my amazing neighbors. It is also a quick drive to Rehoboth Beach for boardwalk fun and the outlets for shopping.

What makes this house unique

It is a historic home, built in 1857, which I renovated in 2014. It is elegant, yet comfortable, a beautiful old home suitable for modern living. You never need your car once you get here, shops, bars, restaurants, market, beach are all just a walk or bike ride away.

Couldn't have asked for more...

We were more than happy with our stay at this beautiful home for our vacation in Lewes. The location was great for accessing, well, everything we could have wanted! We were there with adult children and the house was perfect for connecting with them without all of us being on top of each other. The neighborhood was lovely and quiet. It has been a long time since we have been so relaxed! Vivian was great to work with - even the weather cooperated for the most part! Great area, great home to stay in.

Outstanding!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this historic home in Lewes for the first time in August. We have rented many homes over the past 15 years that we have been coming to Lewes and this is truly THE BEST home we have ever rented. The home is immaculate. The owner has decorated a beautiful historic home with a flair and sense of style that is rarely seen in rental homes. It was refreshing to have a home that wasn't splattered with starfish and shells (I like starfish and shells, but this was a step above). The location on Church Street in the heart of historic Lewes is perfection. Vivian is a responsive owner and a true professional, as well as warm and welcoming.

You will not be disappointed if you choose to rent this home. We will be back, Vivian!

Beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Lewes for a family wedding, and a family of 8. As soon as I walked in the door and took a quick look around, I called Vivian and expressed my delight with this beautiful home. Pictures are true to the beautiful deco and comfort of this home! Vivian was wonderful to work with, answered all emails and questions with propmtness. Easiest transaction ever. This home had plenty of room for the 8 of us! Very short walk to town, and very nice neighborhood! Had a wonderful dinner in town. Plenty of choices to eat, and all walking distance. Perfect location. Home was very clean and comfortable! Would def rent this home if I was in the area again! Thank you Vivian! Everything was PERFECT!

Exceptional Home

  • 5 of 5

This house was everything we expected and more! The house was an old home that had been renovated. It has plenty of room with 4 bedrooms that had really comfortable beds! The master bathroom was small but functional. The master bedroom was HUGE! The kitchen/dining area was comfortable and had everything we needed. We played games every night at the table. Living room was spacious and comfortable. It was within walking distance to town so we didn't have to drive at all! We all just loved it! Thank you Vivian for all of the concessions you allowed!

ELEGANT HOME IN HEART OF HISTORIC DISTRICT

  • 5 of 5

Easter, 2016: For the third time, I chose this lovely home for a visit with family in Lewes. Why do I keep coming back? Let's count the reasons. Vivian, the owner, is exceptionally gracious and accessible. The home itself is large, very comfortable, and beautifully renovated and furnished. The kitchen is fully equipped (preparing and serving a full Thanksgiving dinner for 12 is a breeze). The shops and outstanding restaurants of Lewes are an easy walk away. The beach (bay and ocean) are easy bike rides or short drives away. And, if you stay long enough to exhaust all Lewes has to offer (not likely), the surrounding area is full of things to do: the boardwalk and outlet shopping in Rehoboth Beach; the Dogfish Head brewery in Milton; historic Cape May, NJ via a short ride on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry. In short, this is the perfect home in a perfect seaside, historic town.

Wonderful home in Lewes

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this lovely home for our annual getaway with our adult kids, their spouses, and our grandson. There was perfect space for everyone. The kitchen and home were well-equipped. Comfortable beds. The only thing we needed but didn't have was a DVD player to watch some movies we brought; but our son had one in his Rehoboth Beach condo and brought it over. A lovely home in a lovely town. Vivian was very responsive when I had a question about the wifi. Will consider this a "go-to" in Lewes for us in the future!
