About Eugenie Thomasson
We have a small self catering rental company with properties on the Island of Mull and Edinburgh as well as on Easdale. We also hire out Camper Vans on the Isle of Mull, where we live.
Eugenie Thomasson purchased this House in 2009
Why Eugenie Thomasson chose Oban
The house is spacious, has wonderful sea views and has a large garden with steps leading to your own stoney beach which shines with fools gold.
What makes this House unique
The island is unique as it has no roads, and no cars, so you can enjoy the peace and your kids can roam safely. The islanders are wonderful and the Puffer Bar and the museum are a must! It is a very friendly island, a haven for children. Cars are left in the car park at Ellenabeich, come over on the foot ferry and transport your luggage to the house using the islanders method of transport, a wheel barrow! Enjoy the peace and quiet that having no cars creates.

Wonderful house with fantastic views in idyllic location
Really well appointed house with great views from all rooms. We just never got bored of looking out to the islands which looked different every time bVery homely and tasteful with lots of crockery etc. Good facilities such as tumble dryer and ample hanging space for wet clothes and coats.
Easdale is magical with the diving pools and the Puffer pub but most importantly no cars! It really is a bit of paradise in Scotland.
Would absolutely recommend.
Great experience at the island
After a fascinating two weeks round trip through Scotland we spent another week in "AN LIONADH" to relax and get inspired from the island. It was a great time there. From all the windows at kitchen and sitting room you have a great sea view! It doesn't matter if sun is shining or it is raining, we have enjoyed very much. Don´t miss to have a walk around the island, enjoy setting of the sun up the hill, have a coffee at the islands cafe or eat Cullen skink in the bar of Seil! It is a pitty, we did not see any dolphins or whales. Therefore we have seen a lot of "creative flying seagulls"...
The best views ever!
Fantastic house in the most gorgeous position. Stunning views.
The Perfect Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay! The location is perfect and exceeded all of our expectations. The island was a great place to get away from it all and the cottage easily has one of the best views around. Looking forward to coming back for another relaxing week.
Great house with amazing views
We had a fantastic break in Easdale - 4 adults and 9 kids. The house had plenty of space for us all, with plenty of games and DVDs to keep us occupied if we ever got sick of looking at the stunning view (which we didn't). Great communication from the host too. Will be back!
The island is Car Free! Park your car at the pier at Ellenabeich and take the 12 seater foot ferry with your luggage and shopping over to the island, it is a 3 minute journey. The islanderss use wheel barrows to transport their luggage and shopping the short distance to the houses. An Lionadh is a 3 minute walk from the ferry, on the Western Shore. You must visit the Puffer Bar and Tea room during your stay and sample their delicious food and drinks. Seafari Tours offer boat trips from Easdale to see the worlds 3rd largest whirlpool a short distance from the island, as well as showing you some of the amazing wild life this area has such as Minke Whales, bottlenose dolphins, seals, eagles, red deer and basking sharks. Swim in the swimming quarry, wander around the many nooks and crannies in the island, climb to the top of the hill on the island and the large hill at Ellenebeich to take in these stunning West Coast views. Oban has all the large shops and supermarkets and there is a small shop 2 miles away at Balvicar as well as a gift shop and the Seafari shop at Ellenabeich.
You will probably be happy to remain on the island most of the time as it is so relaxing, but if you wanted to explore the area, there a lots of mountains to climb, restaurants to dine in and wonderful walks and activities in the region to enjoy.
