About Robin Bell
We purchased June 2014, can't be here all the time so we are sharing it with you.
Robin Bell purchased this Cottage in 2014
Why Robin Bell chose Lexington
We thought this would make a great retreat for those that want a get a way without having to go far from home!
What makes this Cottage unique
We think the loft is a fun aspect of this home. the inside may be small but feels larger with the cathedral ceiling. Its just a charming little place.

Everything we wanted. So relaxing and super close to water, wine, and food.
Robin had everything anyone might need. Clean. We were looking to get off the grid for a few days and this was perfect.
Wonderful cottage, wonderful owner!
We loved everything about this vacation. It was easy to book, all of the information was provided in a timely manner, and the cottage itself is in a great location. Robin thought of everything - literally you just need to bring clothes and food! The cottage is clean and inviting. The yard and firepit are beautiful. It's a short walk to several beach areas or you can drive to others. Lexington is a cute little town with lots of shops, nice restaurants, kayak rentals, mini golf and more. We plan to return again. Thank you so much Robin!
Thanks Susan, it was great to host you! I'm so glad you liked the place, and we will be happy to host you all again next year :) Keep in touch. Enjoy what's left of the summer.
much needed rest
The cottage was truly the best long weekend we've had. We got to introduce our daughter and her family to Michigan and we discovered a gem. Thank you Robin for a wonderfully well appointed cottage. The back yard was great for evening fires and being unplugged was a welcome change. The cottage was small but every inch of space was well utilized. our 15 year old granddaughter wasn't bored and the 8 year old was easily entertained. The bicycles were a great addition to an already stellar experience. Love, love, loved it.
Had a very relaxing weekend. Cozy cottage. Comfy beds. Breezy shaded yard with nice fire pit. Robin thought of everything, right down to homemade fire starters and complementary fixings for s'mores. It was a hot weekend, so we very much appreciated her opening the windows and turning on the fans.
Thanks Jackie! It was a pleasure to host you. :)
It has been super hot and muggy lately, so I am glad that I could have things open for air flow prior to your stay. It's not always the case that I can do that, but I try when I can.
So glad that you all were able to relax during your stay. :) If your next trip brings you back to the area, we'd love to have you stay again.
Cottage was clean and decorated beautifully! The owner Robin is very accommodating and friendly and supplies you with everything you could possibly need from towels to bug spray. Upon arrival the front table had a welcoming dish with marshmallows, graham crackers and Hershey bars (we are not much of a s’mores family but did indulge on the chocolate bars ;0), as well as dog treats for our dog. Our family only stayed four nights but would have loved to stay the rest of the week, I would definitely recommend!
• Very clean
• Towels, beach towels, bed linens, dishes, utensils, pots, pans are provided as well as a small supply of coffee, and some condiments.
• Beds (doubles) on ground level very comfortable.
• Large refrigerator
• Plenty of fans to keep you cool in summertime.
• Many board games, DVD’s, and books.
• Backyard is well maintained with a fire pit, chairs, wood, and shed that contains bikes and some beach toys.
• Close to beaches and town.
• Small (it’s a cottage), but beautiful and perfect for two to four people.
• Loft – not adult friendly, especially after partaking in a few adult beverages, (great for kids and is the largest bedroom).
• No storage in second bedroom so you cannot put clothes away.
• Bathroom and shower are very small – people of larger size would find it a bit challenging but manageable.
• No Wi-Fi so if you like to use internet for streaming music or just searching you will eat up a lot of data if you can even get service.
• TV’s are limited to DVD’s only, (one in family room and other in loft) – This was only a minor complaint by our eldest family member.
Thanks Anthony! You summed things up fantastically! In all of my conversations with potential renters, I make sure to mention that , yes, this is a small cottage, and that most of the time is spent out of doors... if weather permits ofcourse! When 6 adults are indoors , you notice it is tight on space. The loft area is mostly a hit with families with older kids or teenagers. I'ts like a retreat away from the grownups! We know that bathroom needs revamping...we're waiting on Worth township to quit dragging their feet to put in the sewer systems! Once that is complete, we plan to redo bathroom size and orientation to accomodate a larger shower, making more space for all to utilize! :) Hoping this transpires soon! I also make sure that there is a picture posted online...what you see is all that there is. There actually is an HD antenna set up and it receives 4 channels. I do not have wifi so that families (including mine!) disconnect from the electronics and enjoy each other :) Not too many guests have mentioned missing the wi-fi. I'm sorry that you did not have it. I hope that your stay was a great getaway regardless, and that you come back to the area, lodging with us or another cottage. Blessings, Robin
Stayed two nights, it was a perfect get away for my sister and I. Grilled in both nights had everything we needed and more to make our meals. Every kitchen utensils are provided with wonderful quality. Robin and her husband were gracious enough to come by to replenish the wood supply she was concerned that we may have not had enough for the bon fire. Very well maintained and clean cottage. Hope to return there soon. Also thank you for the smores supplies.
It was wonderful to work with you, and also to meet you both. Hopefully you can make it back, and have better weather! We'd love to host you again. :)
Located just 4 miles from quaint little town of Lexington. Lots of things to do there, nice shops, and antique stores!, eat, boat, the beaches, rent kayaks...
